With the Bird EP he presents two tracks with contrasting themes that complement each other, demonstrating his technical ability and emotional intelligence. Title track ‘Bird’ explores the notion of freedom through sonic transcendence, offering hope and optimism with its gentle melodies and subtle euphoria. ‘Secluded’ takes the opposite approach, exploring the inner conflict sparked by isolation and living in confinement. Taut beats and brooding melancholy underpin this cut, with a solemn repetitive riff adding emotive urgency.

Partial Press Release: The 42nd release on microCastle welcomes Chicola and Sahar Z to the label for their debut EP. The Israeli duo have long been at the core of Tel Aviv's electronic music scene. Sahar Z is now approaching 20 years as one of the country's most recognized artists. Part owner and resident at Tel Aviv's famed 'The Cat & Dog' club, Sahar continually plays alongside some of the world's best talent such as Sasha, John Digweed, Dubfire, Mathew Jonson and Patrice Baumel. While his productions for Bedrock, Lost & Found, Suara and Sudbeat continue to make him one of the most unique and cutting edge artists in the underground. 

Similarly Chicola began his journey into electronic music in the mid-nineties, at Tel Aviv's renowned 'Allenby 58, DJing alongside Laurent Garnier, Carl Craig, Danny Tenaglia and countless other top international talents. Recent studio work for Lost & Found, Sudbeat Music and Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records, along with one hugely in demand and unreleased piece 'Childhood', has propelled Chicola into one of electronic music's most intriguing artists. 

The studio synergy between Chicola and Sahar is constant and while an abundance of material is locked away (primarily for live gigs), it's only on rare occasions that you see a collaborative release from the duo. Previous EP's for Guy J's Lost & Found Records and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music are all that sits in the duos collective discography. Now as 2016 begins we see a long awaited third project, their debut EP for microCastle entitled 'It Happened One Night'. 

The EP's second selection 'The Stage' finds Chicola and Sahar crafting the ultimate techno jam. It's a journey that plays out over fourteen glorious minutes, anchored by a smooth, momentous groove, it effortlessly flows through a myriad of subtle motifs and cosmic effects. A continually evolving adventure with a techno state of mind, as described by Chicola and Sahar, "This one was a winter session that resulted in a soulful moment. A time when we turned off our minds and opened up our hearts. An analog moment for us, circular sounds with warm melodies.  It's our 909 meets 303 approach and an endless jam session for the future."

Club-focussed heaters are only a part of musical development. Sometimes you need to catch also the strings and melodies of a certain moment. From silence to wild nature noises, from sunshine to deep and dark winter mood. You are coming home with a melody in your head and you find peace in some hard and techy sounds coming in and bringing movement for your blood. Diverse like life, thats Mononoid's first longplayer. 

"Elf" is the first track creating a spacious atmosphere were you can loose yourself in, but still keeps you on the right track. "Anna" is intense and wide open, without loosing the trippy character. "Monorus" is full of magic with it's hard switch and it's spacey flair.A walk through an unreal world brings the track "Parks and Gardens" - a blues guiding you to a place in between where the clouds open up. 

With our dear friend Beatamines the dutch duo created "Yotta" which is a very techy track for the late night in the club. "Take steps" will bring you home finally with a bag full of new ideas and sounds. Enjoy this beautiful trip and don't get lost on the way - how the guys described it together with Amy White.

To kick off our 6th year, Steyoyoke Recordings is thrilled to unveil “Quadrivium”. A brand new project where each volume will feature four tracks from four different artists. Volume 01 presents tracks from talented producers such as Matchy & Lunar Plane, Strinner, Lost Soul and K.A.L.I.L..

Matchy and Lunar Plane open the EP with an original track titled “Brahman”. Its infectious beat instantly sets on a journey through light and dark where a hypnotizing dialogue of synths unveils wonders.

Next up is “Continuum” by Strinner. The track starts off with strong beats that awaken emotions while melodies emerge in a constant motion of progressive rhythm and echoing synths. 

“Landscapes” by Lost Soul has a light and airy feel. The excitement is felt through sound suspensions on a journey through universal matter. Gradually gaining deeper mood, the track preserves all its delicate keys.

Closing the EP is K.A.L.I.L. with his track titled “Shori”. Here, iridescent melodies weave around captivating notes. Deep melodic synths bring nostalgia approaching a break into euphoric territory.

‘Rainmaker’ is a six-track, double-vinyl EP crafted from the delicate-yet-powerful ingredients that are Recondite’s signature. "Tender Trance" is the long-anticipated debut EP of the production collaboration between @djgigola and @kevkoko , and marks the 5th installment of the Live From Earth Klub imprint (LFEK005). Blending heavy trance synthesizers with broken beats and driving drums, the 3-track-release focuses on different shades of modern trance sound. The EP’s leading track "Papi", adds a layer of DJ Gigola‘s own hazy vocals. "Tender Trance" will be released June 14th 2019 in digital form as well as limited edition of 300 vinyl copies.

Returning to трип after last year’s fantastic ‘cheerful pessimist’ EP, Vladimir Dubyshkin presents ‘budni nashego kolhoza’, an abstract portrait of the ‘everyday life of a collective farm.’

On these driving, iridescent tracks Dubyshkin is as self-assured as he is unhinged. He advances with a controlled intensity – taunting vocal cuts loop and spiral over pulsating, muscular rhythms that seem moments away from derailing. It’s a gripping descent into delirium, dragged ankle-first by Dubyshkin.
