Dvārakā is a sacred historic city in Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism. It is also alternatively spelled as Dvarika. The name Dvaraka is said to have been given to the place by Bhagwan Krishna, a major deity in Hinduism. Dvaraka is one of the Sapta Puri (seven sacred cities) of Hinduism.

In the Hindu epics and the Puranas, Dvaraka is called Dvaravati and is one of seven Tirtha (pilgrimage) sites for spiritual liberation. The other six are Mathura, Ayodhya, Kashi, Kanchipuram, Avantika and Puri.

Morttagua inspired himself in the legendary epics describing all the magnificent wonders of Dvaraka to produce a track with lots of Hindu influences in its vocals and chanting. Morttagua trademark hypnotic 4d plucks, emotional harmonies and impeccable sound design makes Dvaraka a true contender for this year's summer hit season.

The latest installment in our free download series welcomes Nicolas Rada for his third appearance. Upon beginning his career in 2007, Nicolas quickly became a favourite of Hernan Cattaneo where his original productions and private remixes become a staple in the sets of the storied DJ. Hailing from Buenos Aires, the Argentinean artist eventually found a home on Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden and Eelke Kleijn’s Days Like Nights where his groovy progressive sound has flourished. 2017 proved to be a breakout year, highlighted by his first remix collaboration with Nick Warren, where the duo reworked Upercent’s ‘Pulsacions’ to both critical and commercial success. Now frequent studio partners, Nicolas and Nick have continued to build a strong studio synergy showcasing their original material on Nick’s The Soundgarden imprint while also recording a string of impressive remixes for Get Physical, Monday Social Music, Proton Music and Timeless Moment. On the solo front, Nicolas has also continued to prosper with an appearance on Patrice Buamel’s GU Berlin compilation, along with original projects for Sudbeat Music and TRYBESof. Having first appeared on our free download series with his hugely sought-after remake of Bjork’s ‘Mutual Core’ in 2019 and then again in 2020 with an equally large rendition of Underworld’s ‘Cowgirl’, we’re happy to welcome Nicolas back with a huge interpretation of the Depeche Mode classic ‘Precious’. Initially remixed by progressive house icons Sasha and Spooky in 2005, Nicolas now brings a new perspective to the track which has been championed by John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. After their highly emotional „quarantine" 'Home' single in 2020, that quickly became one of the most successful tracks of the involved artists, even looking at a remarkable back catalogue, the trio is back with a more club related release. The Siamese creators Adriatique and Marino Canal have built a deep human and musical relationship over the years that reflects in their carefully selected output and keeps on impressing with the new EP.

„'All In Ever Wanted' takes us back to our earlier projects", remember Adriatique. "It got a strong, sub driven groove, less climactic than the usual club hit but persuasive by the powerful sound and clever arrangement. 'Accordia' on the flip relies a bit more on building up tension while the track carries on. The synth work reminds of 'All In Ever Wanted', the songs are siblings so to say. Different but with a connecting element at the same time."

'All I Ever Wanted' is set to release on October 12th.

Opening the EP is title track Upperground, an ethereal upbeat House tune which has been an essential component of the sets of Solomun in the past weeks. Atlas showcases their ability to step over to the dark side with a fist-pumping melodic Techno thumper.Closing off the record is Dont Bring Me Down, which was written by Dino Lenny and enhanced by ARTBATs brush into an emotional dancefloor hymn. The pairing of its string arrangements and the touching vocals of Dino Lenny will surely make for memories that last past the night out in which you hear it.
