Aurette and The Polska Seeking Carnival sedang melankolis. Memutuskan kembali bermusik di akhir tahun 2015 pasca hiatus karena gejolak masa muda, jalinan nada dan irama ¾ a la sirkus atau karnaval persis yang kami mainkan dulu tiba-tiba terasa sedikit berbeda. Saat mencoba menggubah lagu baru dengan pola yang sama beberapa tahun yang lalu, kami merasa ada yang kurang sreg, ada yang mengganjal.

Usut punya usut, setelah kami telisik, ternyata ini memang lazimnya sifat manusia: Bosan, ingin bergerak ke depan untuk sesuatu yang baru. Sebagai musikus, pengalaman beberapa tahun ini ternyata mengubah cara pandang kami tentang musik. Banyak referensi baru, banyak pandangan baru, banyak cerita baru, banyak kegelisahan baru tentang bagaimana kondisi dunia. Latar belakang ini yang memunculkan lagu bertajuk Melerai Lara.

Lagu ini jelas berbeda dengan kebanyakan lagu kami di album pertama. Dari segi musik, kami mulai bermain-main dengan nuansa. Dari segi lirik, setelah di fase sebelumnya banyak menulis lirik berbahasa Inggris, kami mulai menulis lirik berbahasa Indonesia. Melerai Lara adalah lagu pertama yang kami ciptakan sebagai penanda perubahan, seperti yang dijelaskan sebelumnya.

Melerai Lara bercerita tentang seseorang yang tidak bisa menjadi dirinya sendiri. Seseorang yang persona-nya terpenjara. Dunia, tatanan masyarakat, dan norma seringnya mengungkung seseorang, menjerat persona dalam lara, buntutnya seseorang tersebut tak dapat menunjukkan siapa dirinya yang sebenarnya.

Percakapan Tangis adalah lagu dari Jalan Pulang yang termasuk dalam Album Kompilasi Musik Tradisi Baru. Peluncuran Album Kompilasi Musik Tradisi Baru; Forum Musik Tembi (Fombi). Tembi Rumah Budaya, Yogyakarta. 12-12-2012. 

Festival Musik Tembi dengan tema “Musik Tradisi Baru 2012” dilangsungkan dan dipertunjukkan pada tanggal 24, 25, 26 Mei 2012. Terdapat 7 kelompok terbaik yang diseleksi oleh Purwanto (Kuaetnika); Eros Chandra (Sheila on 7); Frans Sartono (Kompas). Lagu yang dibawakan oleh 7 Kelompok musik tersebut akhirnya direkam di studio Kuaetnika dan dirangkum dalam Album Kompilasi Musik Tradisi Baru 2012.

Jalan Pulang merupakan salah satu dari 7 kelompok musik tersebut.

Island by Afternoon Talk is an interpretation of their hometown that awarded by many beaches to simply unwind. Imagine everyday visiting to the beach, embraced by the warm sun, inducing pleasant thoughts of tropical breezes, crashing waves, sun tan lotion and naps on the beach. This song tells this enjoyment. “We can dance we can dance along the night, we can sing we can sing until the sunrise”.
