Marchant dans la pénombre du crépuscule, le voyageur traversa bien des mers et bien des montagnes avant d'atteindre sa destination... Là, perdu au beau milieu de nulle part, se trouvait la casse. Il jeta un dernier coup d'œil à son médaillon avant de le lancer dans l'amas de ferraille qui lui faisait face.

La pluie battante inondait les rues quand soudain le vacarme de l'orage retentit. Alors qu'on pouvait entendre les mères hurler à leurs enfants de rentrer à la maison, un homme lui était au sommet de la grande tour d'astronomie. Contemplant le ciel avec excitation, un nouveau flash lui apparut mais... Plus fort, plus lumineux, plus divin... Son collègue s'approcha de lui peut de temps après, se demandant pourquoi il était si silencieux. L'homme se retourna soudain et un cri d'épouvante pris son partenaire.

Ses yeux semblaient avoir été carbonisés. Et alors que le survivant prenait la fuite en hurlant, le pauvre homme ne cessait point de vivre.
