Marcio is considered today one of the main emerging artists of Brazilian electronic music. His playing field in music production is linked to techno, but he has gone through other styles before creating his alter ego Against the Time. Under such a nickname, it gained a special relationship with the Argentine label Tentacles Recordings and in the sequence captured the attention of some of the main seals of Brazil, among them Nin92wo, Prisma Techno and Plan B Recocrds. His journey in front of the Brazilian tracks is still to be considered recent, but his talent is already recognized by some medallions of our scene.

We have always trust in Marcio's potential to create something that would fit exactly within our high expectations around this project, but he succeeded, surpassed himself, and delivered a beautiful track. 

Encoder can be summarized in a hybrid range. Traces of techno, traces of progressive house, atmosphere of trance.

Téo Dréan launches Affûté.

The main mission of the label is to serve as a platform for promoting gifted artists on the cusp of wider recognition.

The first release consists of the first end of a two-part, eight-track selection of various artists rising in notoriety within the techno scene. Various Énervé Part I features the Berlin-based Frenchman and label founder’s debut, ‘Problème XXX’, along with tracks from promising producers Darse, ENØS and Surt, each of whom ads their unique blend of deep techno rhythms and ambient sounds to a thoughtfully curated mix.

By introducing a collection of artists at once, Affûté 001 allows a broader range of sounds to be showcased. The four different producers all drive the artistic direction hand in hand and superbly set the tone for the great journey ahead.

Out on an ultra-limited series of 12" vinyls and all digital platforms from October 4, 2019.
