A church organ-like intro beckons the listener. Filtered trap drums remind you that you are grounded, if only to give way to the etherial melodic arpeggiations of another realm. It explodes! Taking you into the clouds with it! Riding high, warm from within, the airy synths point you to meet someone who you somehow know in your heart of hearts, has always loved you. The horns blare, the drums roll, and as quick as it came... it went. You awake in your room, disappointed. But theres a lingering love in your heart. You carry it with you where ever you go.

Between Heaven and Earth

(VOCALS) Everyones felt it. Never knowing if someone you cared about ever really felt the same way. It all seems so perfect and effortless, until it isn't.

This is a remix of a song by an extremely talented friend of mine, Datsun. His original is on Spotify, along with this remix. So feel free to search him as well. He's got great soulful music. He can also flow like nobody's business.

Time worn rhythmic synths, heavy reverberated kicks, and snares intro this track, eluding to a feeling of emptiness. A common feeling in any heartbreak. Datsun's pitch shifted vocals cut the simplicity with a playful melody, juxtaposed against the matte black & navy/grey background of the music. Lyrically eliciting a feeling of acceptance, the author still notes his own ponderings of the heart he lost. Vocal chops, cleverly placed and expertly designed, add a level of modern production any good remix enjoys these days. As it builds to its hook/climax, white noise sweeping synths and tympani rolls raise the energy and pensiveness of this down-tempo, down trodden, but yet still energetic track.
