To close out another successful year, ICONYC bring us the 2nd remix reissue of 'London' from label boss John Johnson. The seminal track was released on the famed English Ministry of Sound imprint 'IDJ 'and gained huge popularity after receiving heavy play from both Sasha and John Digweed. It continued the wave of success for the New York based producer and remains a standout piece on his meticulous discography. Regarded as one of the defining tracks in the progressive house golden era it's irresistible hooks have stood the test of time remarkably well. For the second remix edition and to celebrate nearly 25 years since its original release, ICONYC have called upon James Harcourt, Torsten Fassbender & Darbinyan to update the track.

The first interpretation of 'London' is provided by James Harcourt who returns to ICONYC in style. The English born producer really does not need any introduction. James who has been the benchmark and stand out reference for with meticulous productions for many a year. Mr. Harcourt delivers a compelling interpretation of 'London'. Low slung bass stabs, vibrant percussion and spacey electronics, all wrapped together with the distinctive rhythms from the original make for a deep and engaging first act. Suave synths and distinct drum fills further the tracks sonic scope before it begins to strip down into the main break. The suspense filled interlude is fueled with those unmistakable rhythms before a series of beats lets the synth loose once more for the ultimate finale. Another classy interpretation from James Harcourt.

The second interpretation of 'London' is provided by Torsten Fassbender. The Berlin based producer has achieved an amazing level of critical and commercial success in recent times. As one of his country's most talented music producers he has proven his skill in professional sound design and contemporary electronic music. His unique fusion of techno beats and progressive minded sensibilities continues to be one of the underground's freshest sounds. Beginning with a fluid yet bouncy revamp of the groove, the German producers' distinctive sonic hallmarks begin to work their way into the mix. Momentous rhythms along with complementary tones lift the vibe higher as the track reaches the main break. The interlude showcases a storyboard of rising modulation and atmospheric pressures which build to a tasteful apex before the unmistakable groove returns for a great moment. A sensational remix from Torsten Fassbender which will stand the test of time.

Armenia sensation Darbinyan closes out the release in style with two outstanding renditions of 'London'. In recent years Darbinyan has been famed for his revisions and he's worked that magic once again for two compelling interpretations of 'London'. On a foundation of freeform bass swells comes arpeggiated clusters and processed string assembles. Warm and rushy at points yet delicate and impassioned at others, the first act proves to be the prefect prelude to a dramatic break before concluding with a strong finale. The second version is a sensational laidback edit, that factors in the low end, as well as the monumental groove. The remix is playing nicely off the chilled rhythmic qualities and dulcet hooks which drift in and out of the framework. The smooth beats and the laidback tonal theme rise, while peaking with a wave of calmness of beats and the deep bass. Two striking creations from Darbinyan, who delivers cutting-edge interpretations to round out part 2 of the London remixes on a strong note. Don't miss them!

Agents Of Time is the project of Andrea Di Ceglie and Luigi Tutolo. A revered two­man live act, DJs and masters of their sound in the studio. 
Since starting their journey together as Agents Of Time, the two Italians have combined their talents and shared influences to become a globally in­demand dance act, releasing on a number of leading labels along the way. A much­loved debut 12” on Correspondent in 2014, ‘Polina’, marked them out as an exciting new name in the realm of emotional, melodic techno and kickstarted their touring career. 
A hardware­heavy, improvisational live set spanning house, techno and acid is at the heart of what they do. The two members perform around a square table, facing each other, translating a symbiotic energy through the machines and communicating through instinct and gesture. A complex, unique and unpredictable dance between human minds and analog equipment that invariably creates moments of magic. Their live set was partly inspired by an expert of the craft in Mathew Jonson, and it is telling of Agents Of Time’s success that they now count Jonson as a collaborator. ‘Repeating Patterns, Numbers and Letters’, Agents Of Time’s first studio collaboration with Jonson came out in March 2019, following live shows together at Rex Club (Paris) and Movement Festival (Torino). 
The adventurous spirit and heady sound palette is channeled into house, techno and more obscure selections. 
Their work in the studio is a free­flowing ritual, an extension of what they do on stage. ‘Spread The Word’, their debut album came out Stem Records in 2014 and was followed by hit EPs for Maceo Plex’s Ellum Audio, their own label Obscura and Curle Recordings. A relationship with Tale Of Us and multiple appearances at Afterlife events has also led to Agents Of Time signing to Afterlife with the stunning ‘Dream Vision’ EP and 'Paradigm' on the Realm Of Consciousness compilation. 

The Agents Of Time are taking careful steps and showing themselves to be gifted, versatile performers with each one. Whether on record, on stage or at an any event, count on a high­quality output, finely balanced between experimentation and a straight dancefloor vibe.
