KOCMOC (Cosmos), for large orchestra and choir, is a piece composed in 2013, dedicated to the memory of Vladislav Uspensky, a renowned Russian composer and former student of Arapov and Shostakovich, with whom I had the privilege of studying between 1997 and 1998. The title comes from the Russian word "cosmos" which, in Cyrillic, is written "kocmoc". The piece is based on an earlier work of the same name, composed under the guidance of Professor Uspensky in 1997. It makes use of the same melodic and harmonic materials, as well as the same structure and source of inspiration: a fantastic starry sky, as the composer I witnessed on a local beach, south of Lima, in July 1997. The chorus—used more as an orchestral color than a central element of the piece—sings a paragraph from the poem Urania, by the Russian poet Fyodor Tyutchev.

Peruvian Fanfare No.1 is a concert band piece based on two traditional dances from the coast of Peru: the Marinera and the Festejo. It was written by request of Cayambis Music Press and, as the title suggests, will be followed by more concert band pieces based on traditional dances from Peru.

Written for Peruvian flutist Daniel Cueto as a gift before his departure to Germany, to begin his professional studies.

The work makes reference to the old constellation known as Argo Navis (The Argo Ship), today divided into three constellations: Carina (the keel), Puppis (the poop) and Vela (the sail)

The graphic of each one of these three constellations was turned into a series of notes and this was used as melodic material for the work.
