Wanderborn

Aggregate formed from a desire by Aaron and Walker to continue to play music together after their previous band, The Best of Fools, a tribute to Led Zeppelin. Three years together in the band left the two with a desire to write originals. With guitar and bass already set, Ridge, a roadie for The Best of Fools was brought in to sing and not long after Bo was brought in to play the drums. With a diverse range of musical influences they set out to start writing their own material with no intentional sound in mind. Together they formed, Aggregate. A band steeped in classic rock of the 70’s and soaked in the sounds that were born in Seattle in the late 80’s and early 90’s. One song may sound like a riff driven Black Sabbath tune, the next might sound like a deep cut from an early Soundgarden album. Guitar solo’s that remind you of Jimmy Page and a vocalist you could have sworn was Layne Staley, or was that Eddie Vedder? With tightness and groove channeling the great Jeff Porcaro and the improvisational talents of Bill Ward, the groove can be felt in every song. The low end held down by a bass that draws inspiration from two greats, John Paul Jones and Geezer Butler, and a love for the melodic styles found in post-rock. Together, these four make a whole.
