out of nowhere we got a call from @inselxiv where we were invited to play at one of his parties at "neubad klub" in lucerne. shortly after arriving there it became clear that INSEL is a one of a kind host, selector and overall great person. that night he played a mesmerizing intro set with various genres which cooked up the floor to the max. we are super happy to now have a recorded xxl podcast from the selector pro added to our infinite series. it's another showcase of skills, coolness and vibes expertise so go on and enjoy the 2+ hour set - much love, stereoid & strongo

RONI's sound celebrates rave and underground club culture, while continuously evolving and adapting to the ever-changing musical landscape. Cruising between 140 & 160 BPM, RONI's sets are a dynamic mix of Breaks, Bass, Techno & Jungle, exploring the diverse spectrum of sound that today’s electronic culture has to offer.

Earning recognition from Rinse France since the first day of her residency, Roni has followed an upward trajectory deeply rooted within the station. Her bi-monthly show on the airwaves has garnered well-deserved visibility on the global electronic scene, leading her to perform in esteemed venues such as Corsica Studios, C12, ://about blank, Rex Club, Lobsterfest, Peacock Society Festival, and more.

In 2021, RONI founded Nehza Records, a platform through which she shares her vision of club culture and champions upcoming and emerging talents. With support from industry heavyweights like Ben Ufo, Bradley Zero & Emerald, the label aims to continuously push club music and visual arts while focusing on nature protection.

While her journey in electronic music began exploring Parisian dance floors at the age of 12, RONI has been gradually delving into music production. Her recent endeavors in the studio have led to the creation of her first track ‘Earth Call’, already catching the attention of Gilles Peterson. Expect to hear a lot more original music from her in the coming months.

It all began during the isolation of the first lockdown when Valentin's brother bestowed upon him a gift that would shape his destiny—a set of 90s hard trance and dark breakbeat records. With this catalyst, Valentin's passion for music ignited and fueled by his insatiable appetite for the obscure vinyl treasures of yesteryears.

But Valentin's path wasn't always paved with basslines and synth melodies. After completing his Abitur, he found himself at a crossroads, eventually settling into an apprenticeship in landscape and garden design. Yet, amidst the serene beauty of nature, Valentin's heart yearned for the driving energy of the dance floor.

The call of adventure beckoned, and Valentin embarked on a transformative journey to Vienna, where he found sanctuary amidst the thriving music scene. Enrolling in BOKU for landscape architecture, he discovered that his creative spirit found resonance in both the lush greenery of gardens and the sound of progressive house.

Under the moniker countershine, Valentin found his identity, drawing inspiration from the ethereal glow of „Gegenschein“ to illuminate the darkest corners of the dance floor. His relentless pursuit of self-expression led him to organize his own events, overcoming adversities with unwavering determination and a sprinkle of Bavarian resilience.

His musical journey reads like a jukebox on shuffle, with influences ranging from Harry Belafonte's calypso rhythms to the head-banging anthems of heavy metal. Yet, it was the trance melodies of the 90s that captured his soul, until now, as he begins to delve into the worlds of psytrance and Goa.

In the midst of life's complexities, music stands as Valentin's ultimate sanctuary—a place where he can find solace and escape from the chaos of his mind. It serves as a beacon of light, guiding him through challenges and uplifting his spirit along the way. And in those rare moments of complete disconnection, Valentin finds peace—a precious respite that he holds dear.

In essence, countershine's journey is a testament to the transformative power of music, weaving resilience, diverse influences, and boundless creativity into the fabric of his cosmic tapestry.
