"Souvenirs y tremblement" est une composition intéressante pour son style, pour sa sonorité et pour la relation entre : 1) l'utilisation d'harmonies spectrales, étirées ou compressées {ce que j'appelle des "spectres élastomères"} et 2) l'utilisation de "rythmes résultants". Dans l'histoire de la musique, les rythmes résultants apparaissent dans la polyphonie, lorsque deux voix, intervenant à des moments différents, génèrent un rythme particulier. J'utilise cette technique dans la superposition et la division de valeurs régulières (binaires ou ternaires) avec des valeurs irrégulières (ex: un 4 contre 7, etc.), en les étirant ou en les compressant au niveau de la durée et de la fréquence.
