<p>Paride Saraceni is back on Agile and gets straight to the point with &#8220;Skyline&#8221;, where we find him rolling out the percussion and bringing in classy, evolving synths over a rocksteady drumset.&nbsp; The optimistic vibe of &#8220;West Village&#8221; is up next, letting a rubber-band bassline take control, while persistent stabs keep the momentum going and hypnotic electronics grind away in the background.</p>

With the comeback of his moniker, Polyvinyl, UMEK goes back to his hardgroove origins. In addition, he is starting a new record label called 1605 GrooveSector, which will specialise in raw techno and hardgroove.

Slovenian-born UMEK has a career that dates back to the 1990s, when he was among the musicians that helped create and pioneer the first hardgroove movement. His iconic Recycled Loops project produced a number of groundbreaking songs that shaped the modern genre.

UMEK’s music has changed throughout the course of his three-decade career to reflect contemporary styles, and he has continued to be one of the most significant techno artists. His career is coming full circle with the return of the Polyvinyl pseudonym, and he is once again embracing the improvisational production style that once brought him international recognition.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the title track “Mechanically Intensive” with a rolling bassline and filtered percussion. Jerking synth stabs are added to boost the offbeat energy, but it’s the timeless, tribal and schranz-like rhythms that create the throwback, dance floor burning sound.

<p>We welcome Ramon Tapia to Agile as he whips out a cut that never lets up, courtesy of a persistent stab that manically runs throughout the length of the affair.&nbsp; Meanwhile, the locomotive rhythm section chugs away effortlessly and provides the perfect backdrop for subliminal synth washes to do their thing.&nbsp; Label boss Uto Karem is on the remix, and he dubs things out in his version, keeping things claustrophobic and tense.&nbsp; Cavernous effects offer some welcomed breathing space and the sub bass rumbles on.</p>

We are back with some fresh new talent from Finland - Kid93, who delivers a 4-track EP packed with driving low-end, funky machine funk, and vocal-laced tension that nods to classic warehouse energy while keeping things undeniably fresh.

The title track 'Master Blaster' opens the EP with a tight, rolling groove forming the backbone while metallic synth hits and warped FX textures rattle around the stereo field. It’s relentless but funky, pure stripped-down momentum with a late-night attitude, making this one a proper set-builder and floor-shaker.

'Machine Soul' goes deeper into Dub-indebted territory, fusing robotic swing with a soulful core. The beat is minimal yet warm, spiced with dusty drums and shimmering percussions, giving the track both mechanical precision and emotional resonance.

'Nocturnal Animals' is a percussive groover built around syncopated rhythms, vocal snippets, and melodic motifs that flirt with paranoia. It’s hypnotic and unpredictable with a unique flavour for a strobe-lit basement.

Closing out the EP with 'Down Dirty' - a rave-ready bomb equiped with the raw drums, crunchy snares, and a rolling sub. This is pure warehouse heat - nasty, funky, and impossible to ignore whether you're deep in a bunker or on a festival rig.
