<p>Heartik makes his debut kick on Agile with an excellent EP plus a great remix by the label boss Uto Karem. &#8216;Sailors&#8217; kicks of the EP and is purely devastating, starting with solid beats that lead into a nice break where the main riffs taking control. Next is the remix by Uto Karem and this one is peak time stuff. The main riff joining looped melodic tones and funky overtones that come later makes this, big room track here. Closing this EP is &#8216;Neck Lock&#8217;, gritty basslines build the track nicely towards to some funky melodies and riffs. A perfect release from Agile that shows they still know what it takes to pick out big tunes and a great way from Heartik to introduce himself to the label&#8217;s fans.</p>

Accomplished producer, Phil Kieran, makes his Hotflush debut with a two-track ode to hedonistic flight. “Yes I’m going there” goes the lead track’s refrain. Where ‘there’ is, who knows? But you can enjoy a soundtrack of sun-kissed piano chords and heraldic horns on the way. As Kieran ‘gets away’ on the A2, the mood takes a turn for the dark. Lost in the early hours, pockets full of miniature plastic bags and no money…thank fuck for the throb of that kick in these lonely but exciting times.

Richy Ahmed and Ryan Elliott, offer their interpretations of Kieran’s bacchanalia on the B-side with the former creating a barnstorm of minor stabs and attitude, and the latter tearing it up, down, left and right with his broken beats and wailing vox. Gone there. Got Away.

Next up on Kuukou is the return of the Passengers VA series.

Dario Ferrara kicks us off, following up records on Ambivert and Prospect with an unrelenting trip. 'Concentrate' is a progressive jackhammer built with a sharp, caustic sound palette. Sylent is next - channeling his experience playing at KitKatClub, Insomnia, Gotec and Weisser Hase into 'Under Water': a firm, direct punch with a percolating bass note that builds a sense of pressure from the off. Vast, awe-inspiring synths are expressively dashed across the mix with a lucent beauty that contrasts against the rugged low-end. A breakdown melts all elements away, paving a clear path for an electric vocal line that charges the track through its second chapter. This is heady, melodic Techno that leaves an indelible imprint. 

Multi-genre production due 11A! follow up with deeper cut 'Higher Frequency'. Nifty hat shuffles map out a sleek, sultry groove that burns underneath a vocal that is guaranteed to bend minds and widen pupils. A barbed, twisted breakdown stretches out before the simple but potent hook rolls back in, keeping the tension bubbling until the close.

RAYO's 'Future' brings the package to a conclusion with a bright, minimal tool. Drum-heavy, the track kicks in all the right places while synth lines bounce from one another and a simple vocal rings out making it a beautifully useful instrument for DJs looking to keep attention seized.
