Heartik makes his debut kick on Agile with an excellent EP plus a great remix by the label boss Uto Karem. &#8216;Sailors&#8217; kicks of the EP and is purely devastating, starting with solid beats that lead into a nice break where the main riffs taking control. Next is the remix by Uto Karem and this one is peak time stuff. The main riff joining looped melodic tones and funky overtones that come later makes this, big room track here. Closing this EP is &#8216;Neck Lock&#8217;, gritty basslines build the track nicely towards to some funky melodies and riffs. A perfect release from Agile that shows they still know what it takes to pick out big tunes and a great way from Heartik to introduce himself to the label&#8217;s fans.

Fabian Argomedo makes his debut on Agile with some hip-shaking grooves and bounce galore. &#8220;Breaking Bass&#8221; boasts a crackling rhythm section complete with skipping hi-hats that never let up. Vocal snippets add the necessary high end touch while a sneaky piano loop makes its appearance subtly, and a warped crooner takes center stage and dominates the rest of the track. Label boss Uto Karem strips a few things away but adds extra percussion while keeping the affair in looped mode. The rubber-band bass makes sure no momentum is lost, and his version makes heavy use of the piano before leading us into an apocalyptic, Uto Karem-styled breakdown.

Pride Saraceni is known for his monstrous grooves, so this EP is definitely aptly titled, with the homonymous track boasting a hypnotic bassline running under the shuffling rhythm section, and persistent noise loops adding the momentum. A haunting vocal adds a touch of class and anticipation, while filtered chords are employed for that extra Techno edge. 
 On &#8220;Domino Effects&#8221; things take a dubbier turn, with spacious fx setting the cavernous tone, reinforced greatly by the pitched-down, spoken word vocal. Familiar sonar stabs keep the train rolling, and the snappy drums balance out the thick, tense atmosphere.

Hollen beefs things up and is up next with locomotive grooves and cavernous effects, while Yado Atiz is up next to switch things up and inject some house vibes with his rubber-band bass and subtle chords. Nino Bua dubs things out and offers some mangled vocal action, and Sunrose together with Riccardo Sabatini pull back the gears just a bit and add some classy, haunting melodies.

Sisko Electrofanatik returns to his label, Gain Records, with the release of his new 15-track techno album, 'Starboy' in celebration of his 20-year career.

This is Sisko Electrofanatik's first album, and it's a dynamic selection that showcases the Italian techno maestro at his very best. The album orientates around the peak time techno style that is trademark to his sound, while also embracing styles including progressive, electro, downtempo, raw and acid.

Based in Rome, Sisko Electrofanatik first broke onto the scene two decades ago when he was a regular feature of Carl Cox's record label, Intec. His captivating use of melody, intelligent sample selection, and energising percussion, have made him one of techno's most esteemed producers.

His music is regularly set listed by techno's most iconic DJs, and he has been signed to prestigious record labels including Alan Fitzpatrick's We Are The Brave, Monika Kruse's Terminal M, Spartaque's Codex, and many others of equal calibre.

Gain Records is Sisko Electrofanatik's own record label, and it's a globally respected imprint that regularly places inside of Beatport's Top 100 sales chart. It has a forward-thinking and innovative reputation, and Sisko Electrofanatik regularly uses it as a platform to release his own music.

Carl Cox has already supported tracks off this album in his DJ sets, such as the final track, "Alter Ego."

The album is a dynamic selection that sets the scene with the dystopian pads and suspense building acid of, "Starboy." The album then gets the listener locked in with the uplifting pads and hulking bass of, "Thrust."

"Ziggurath" is dark and brooding with it's throbbing bassline and electrifying lead synth. The next two tracks, "Syntagma," and "Zork," continue on the same peak time vibe, then "Opale" has a raw and hypnotic groove.

The seventh track, "Get Lost" features the voice of Lory who is a singer from Rome, and it's a melodic techno track with an emotive vocal. "Ad Astra" picks up the pace again with its dark and hammering groove.

"Elements' featuring Leah Rose keeps the dark atmosphere, but has an extended breakdown with a powerful vocal. Track ten is the downtempo "Acidland," which is a trippy slice of electronica with acid synths and cinematic pads.

"Imnot" lifts the intensity with its high-octane groove and dubby pads, then "Diapason" is a deep minimal track with house influences. "Supernatural" brings things back to peak time, then the tense pads of "Fable" is the penultimate track, before "Alter Ego" closes the release with its hypnotic flow.

Sisko Electrofanatik - Syntagma (Original Mix)

Juan Ddd returns to Agile with his new techno EP ‘Kings’. Juan starts things off with ‘Kings’ which is a futuristic blend of techno bleeps. A pulsating melody mixed up perfectly with a gritty driving bassline. ‘El Bronx’ has the same techno feeling, a bouncy techno groove joining an array of elusive melodies on the foreground. The melody is then mixed with a heavy bassline that remains distorted while the varied of elements give to this track an epic feel. Closing this EP is ‘Queens’, with solid drums and plenty of haunting samples. This track holds a serious techno groove as it bounces over synths, though a lot of credit goes to the melody, which is contagious. A perfect EP and extreme care from Juan Ddd has been taken with this release. Quality stuff once more for Agile.
