Bots have spawned fine for me everytime I've ever used them, until today. I was going to practice on tr_walkway, but only 2 bots were spawned. After trying to fix it with tr_walkway's in-game bot spawn system (which didn't work), I decided to try other maps. Once again, only 2 bots. Please help!


Okay, I know it is a pretty common problem for people to not have bots spawn on tr_walkway, tr_rocket_shooting2, etc, and they will just get the reply "Type sv_allow_point_servercommand always" But you see, I've tried that one hundred times now, and every single thing I know about tf2 along with it. I think there may be something more than just sv_allow_point_servercommand always wrong with my game. The bots do not spawn on those maps I listed earlier. On walkway, If I add them manually to blu, they just act weird and dont walk in a straight line, on rocket shooting, THey just strafe really fast (I actually like that, because I can practice my scout) and they don't stay in the same place or jump.


Whenever I go on to tr_walkway only one bot is spawning. I have put on "sv_allow_point_server always" and "sv_cheats 1" but only one bot is walking along the walkway Do anyone know why this happens? Help would be appreciated!


I don't have any scripts or graphics configs on my laptop. On my desktop, I use Chris' dx9frames. I had bot spawning issues on both of those.
Even with the console command though, the bots often stop spawning after a while. They're still in server, but they stop spawning to the walkway. Kicking and/or killing the bots doesn't work either.

Walkway
 is a community-made training map. It features AI bots that spawn and walk along the long walkway that runs down the whole map. There are various different options, toggled by shooting in-game buttons, that can customize the playfield to the player's taste. It is useful for headshot training, practicing jumps, and general practice.Other than just offering training help, it is an outstanding choice of map for testing out custom items and their functions, due to the versatile settings of bots.


The control room, adjacent to where the player spawns, is the nerve center of tr_walkway. It has many controls that will affect the behavior of the bots running along the walkway. These buttons affect everything a bot can do from jumping to strafing, whether or not to fire and more. These buttons can be activated by hitting them with any available weapon.


The walkway is a long strip with hills and a few overhanging catwalks which lead to a pit at the end. The bots on this map will run along this strip (all at the same speed) behaving according to whichever buttons the player has activated in the control room.Alongside the buttons in the control room, there are various controls in the walkway itself.


The most common problem here is a lack of navmeshes; bots only work on maps that have navmeshes. You can check to see if a map has a navmesh with sv_cheats 1 nav_edit 1; if you see a bunch of rectangles appear on the floor that's a navmesh. (Turn the display back off with nav_edit 0.) If the map lacks a navmesh, you can create a automatic one with nav_generate (also a cheats command).


On certain maps, bots can work, but on others they can't - like Payload race, CTF Doomsday, MVM and Arena. They will stand still in the spawn location for the reason that they don't have instructions on where to go.


To fix this, join any map (like ctf_2fort, for example). Type sv_cheats 1 in the console, then type nav_generate. As soon as you type this in, your game will lag for a bit, so you'll have to wait. This will make the bots w
