K'AN x Pachamama Tribe | Festival Kometa 2018

Still bathing in the afterglow of Komēta 2019, I'm happy to share the geography- and genre-hopping set I played at the Pachamama Tribe stage curated by me as K'AN in an attempt to capture the wild variety of multi-cultural organic-electronic music played there by incredible artists from around the world during the three unforgettable cosmic days of Komēta 2019. In this mix, we'll travel from Europe to South America, from North America to Africa, from the Middle East to the Balkans, and back and beyond.

K'AN @ Kometa 2019 x Pachamama Tribe

Oscillating between chill and rave, between organic and electronic, hopping from the East to the West, from the North to  the South, fluctuating between the hot and the cold, here's a recording of a set played at an event with my PASAULE family, based on musical selections prepared for a set played in Berlin's Beate Uwe club earlier in December.  The intention behind this set was to manifest unity despite all the differences. Because, at the end of the day, WE ARE ALL ONE.

For the past 5 years, Komēta festival has been one of the most awaited highlights of the year for me. Also one of the most challenging periods as I'm juggling my different "hats" all at once. This one is the Kometa artist "hat" - a recording of the set I played at the special, Baltic edition of Kometa 2020, featuring some of the artists who have and/or were planned to join Kometa 2020 lineup but couldn't for obvious reasons, and some from my music digger radar and stage curator wishlist. KAN | Pachamama Beats LV | Kometa 2020

My tribute to the surreal 2020 - slow, trippy, long, with ups and downs, melancholic, yet punchy. 
Deepest thanks go out to all the labels and music producers out there making and releasing this magical music despite all the obstacles - this has helped so many, including myself, get through this weird period of time a lot. Here's some of the finest, freshest and otherwise profoundly satisfying  downtempo/chillrave/electronica/organic house from the last year and earlier that caputures my memories and feeling of the 2020, released on labels like @camelridersrec, @randomcollectivecr, @heimlichaufsc, @amselcom, @fernab-berlin, @plurpurarecords and many other. 

Recorded in the art space MALA on 09.01.2021, Saturday night in Cēsis, in complete solitude, though streamed live on the Facebook account. Barely made home before the curfew.
