Ce projet se compose d'un prélude, d'une pièce principale, de cet interlude suivi de son postlude.

ON|RUST as it appears here on soundcloud is the first stage of a small project that is actually called O|N|RUST consists of this track, plus a Bandcamp version (January 2024 - supplemented with two short pieces for percussion and electronics) and a 2024 small scale vinyl release. I've built a number of rhythmic sound machines especially for this piece which mainly consists of the hum and interference of electrical equipment supplemented with an electric guitar drone. Mastered by Rupert Clervaux.

Primavera per me non è la donna
botticelliana dell'Allegoria.
Primavera è per me questa farfalla
fatta di grazia e di fragilità!

Oggi, lungo il sentiero solatio
dove sosta la lepre alle vedette,
un orecchio diritto e l'altro floscio,
tra il grano verdazzurro, lungo il rivo
costellato di primule e d'anemoni,
tra il biancospino, che fiorisce appena,
ho rivista l'Antòcari volare
e il cuore mi sobbalza nell'attesa
senza nome che tutte in me resuscita
le primavere dell'adolescenza....

Ma primavera non è giunta ancora.
È la quinta stagione. Un chiaro Marzo
canavesano, inverno già non più,
non primavera ancora. È l'anno vecchio
tinto a verde d'Enrico l'amarissimo.
Se cantano le allodole perdute
nella profonda cavità dei cieli,
non s'odono le rondini garrire;
lasciano appena il Delta o la Gran Sirte
o riposano a Cipro ovver vïaggiano
sul cordame d'un legno tunisino...

Ma l'Antòcari vola e il cuore esulta!
È la farfalla della novità,
la messaggiera della Primavera,
la grazia mite, l'anima del Marzo.
Essa avviva la linfa nelle scorze,
il brusio, il ronzio, lo stridio,
risuscita l'incognito indistinto.

Oh! Messaggiera della Primavera!
La Terra attende. Il cielo che riempie
il frastaglio dei rami e delle roccie
sembra intagliato nel cristallo terso;
il profilo dell'Alpi è puro argento;
pallido è il verde primo, il pioppo è brullo,
la quercia ancor non abbandona il fulvo
stridulo manto che sfidò l'inverno;
allieta lo squallore la pannocchia
pendula verdechiara del nocciòlo,
la nubecola timida del mandorlo;
tiepido è il sole, ma la neve intatta
sta nelle forre squallide, a bacìo.

La Primavera non è giunta ancora,
ma l'Antòcari vola e il cuore esulta!
La messaggiera della Primavera
è timida, sfuggevole alle dita,
coscïente di sua fragilità;
quasi non vola, s'abbandona al vento
e visita la primula e l'anemone,
la pervinca, il galanto, il bucaneve;
il vento marzolino fa tremare
petali ed ali dello stesso tremito
e l'occhio mal discerne la farfalla:
l'ali minori, marezzate in verde,
chiudono come un calice l'insetto.
Insetti e fiori; mimi scaltri, come
v'accordaste nei tempi delle origini?
Le pagine di pietra dissepolte
attestano che i fiori precedettero
gl'insetti sulla terra: fu l'anemone
che alla farfalla ragionò così:
«Sorella senza stelo, come sei
fragile d'ali e debole di volo!
Salvati dal ramarro e dalla passera:
rivestiti di me, tingiti in verde
ai lati, in bianco a mezzo, in fulvo a sommo,
e con l'antenne simula i pistilli!».

E il fior primaverile alla farfalla
primaverile diede i suoi colori:
dolce alleato nella vita breve....

E la caduca musa marzolina
sa che deve sparire con l'anemone,
sparire prima della Primavera...

Visita i fiori, intepidisce il regno
per le grandi farfalle che verranno,
poi, giunta al varco della vita breve,
congeda il Marzo, volgesi all'Aprile:

Aprile! Marzo andò: tu puoi venire!....

Dani and i the night before the launch of our new record just trying to shake off the cobwebs as we have had a few weeks without  jamming and now we better get our shit together: )  Album info .......The Rat Palace was our studio from when we first started seriously working together in 2016 until the landlords decided it was time for the artists to go and the tourists to come. It had been Mat's base since 2009 and hosted dozens of artists and musicians since it first started in 2006.
As the name suggests the place was run down, lacked various things like hot water, proper access and heating but it had a vibe, and the people we shared the space with all felt and helped to create it....Creativity was everywhere, day after night after day for years.
These 7 improvisations are a tiny fraction of the jams we had there, just a few highlights from 100s of jams. They are raw, unpolished and unconcerned with anything outside the moment. We rarely 'rehearsed' as such at the Rat Palace - just played.
Things come and things go - Vale Rat Palace, you were amazing.
