With deep roots that stretch from ambrosial Kerala to the golden coast of California, CHA CHA’s (@cha-cha-pillai) sound is inspired by purling polyrhythms from cultures beyond the West. Their devotion to tabla, djing, and modular synthesis, guides them through universal sonic spaces.

Mother and sound engineer of Corduroy Garden Soundsystem, CHA CHA organizes hi-fidelity techno-forward experiences in Los Angeles underground. They have worked with crews and curators such as New Palm, Pranks!, Printshop, Vitamin1k, FeM Synth Lab, Acid Camp and United Selector Network.

A note from Cha Cha: 
"With this mix I intend to highlight my everlasting love for cheeky, freaky productions and wormhole bass lines while exploring the mesmerizing technicalities of drum traditions from around the world. I hope to coax the listener into a twisting, off-kilter energetic experience leaving them deep inside my fast, futuristic rhythmic jungle."

A self-described "rave-generalist", Sard is a DJ, producer, and Live PA artist living in Detroit. Combining his passion for perfect dancefloors and the deeper technical aspects of dance music, his performances and productions have maintained a steady placement in the Midwest and beyond. Sard channels a life dedicated to music study into his sound, blending influences of North American techno and rhythms from abroad. His releases on Fixed Rhythms, PPRZ, Amphiboly, and Codec Recordings have been played globally by friends and heroes alike.

Spent many long nights pulling all the records I wanted to play to serve as a document of this lil show so far--faves and influences, deep eyes-closed dancefloor cuts, smoked out rave jams, euphoric downtempo drum trax... the sounds I've had the pleasure to showcase as well as a way to feel how those disparate sounds have evolved into something sprawling + broad yet (I hope) cohesive + holistic, representing the power of psychedelic electronic music alongside more frenetic, 'club-ready' tracks.
