It’s an exciting time for garage music around the world as the buzz of one the UK’s greatest ever musical exports continues to infuse and grow across the planet, finding its own pockets in every continent. We are loving the fact that the UKG is looking so healthy again, not just as the higher, more pop-end levels of the spectrum, but also at the foundational underground levels.

For today’s premiere we are taking a ride across the sea to Melbourne, to take a look at a very interesting producer by the name of Angus Green. As a true electronic music enthusiast, we have seen Angus deploy his skill sets across multiple different genres over the years, with his latest release taking the title ‘Eternal’, coming to us from local imprint: Chill Holla

One we had been sent this one, we simply could not resist getting involved, as we throw up an exclusive premiere of the title track ‘Eternal’. For us this is without a doubt the stand out track on the release, as we are engulfed in an array of skippy drum procedures and nostalgic, heartwarming vocal chops. This one is definitely one for the dances, and when joined by the other two originals on the project, plays a major role in making this a EP a solid body of work.  - 3000 Bass Network

Angus Green & Tigs - Gone Away

Angus Green is a producer and DJ hailing from Melbourne. Known for his ability to both play and produce a multitude of styles and genres, he initially gained a foothold in the scene many years ago after winning a competition for his remix of a K-Lab tune. 

Since then he has played a part in a large number of projects and crews throughout both Melbourne and Australia, including being the co-founder and other half of the internationally successful Drum and Bass duo Okuli where he performed alongside names such as Kasra, Mefjus, Koan Sound, Enei, Phace and many more.

Angus also has a number of charting solo releases under his belt, including a downtempo/hip hop album (Love is Never Enough) released by Melbourne local crew Whomp Music and headed by DJ Don, Kodiak Kid. His style is not easily defined, but you can always expect him to bring a refreshing energy to any stage.

Angus is currently about to release his latest UK Garage EP with the new label Chilla Holla, an offshoot of Plasma recordings, run by Ben (Safire) and his graphic designer partner Akane ( Muga Lines). You can find him playing everything from House and Garage through to Breaks and Drum & Bass on most weekends in Melbourne
