Julien collaborated with Experimental Jazz guitar player, Thomas Carbou, on the track “Family Chest”, to give a mechanical but however humanized initiatory journey in the meanders of modern experimental music.

Born atop the forgotten ruins of a crumbling city, a new civilization had emerged from the ruin wrought by demonkind upon the landscape that lay beneath them. Lead by their prophets of a new and powerful faith, the people of this civilization had risen up against the demon kings, wielding the magic of their divine allies as weapons with which to exorcise their being once more from the land. This war though hard fought had born fruit, and with the slaying of the final demon the people had rejoiced, celebrating their victories with monumental constructions to mark the beginning of a new and golden era. Foremost of these was the great cathedral that lay at the heart of their new city, built both as a space of worship for the populace and as an eternal ward of imprisonment for the souls of demonkind which could not be slain, forever condemning them to an incorporeal existence under the watchful eye of the divine.

Ages had passed since then, and time had once again ground its steady edge against the minds of the people and upon the stones and timbers that had supported the great city for so long. Ritual had been forgotten, and structures of greater grandeur had been built as the city expanded, relegating it’s once monumental cathedral to neglect. Thus it was that the falling of only a single candle had lit an aged timber in it’s great hall, in so doing weakening the ancient wards that had kept the demonic spirits at bay. Ever vigilant in their ceaseless desire to escape, the demon kings fanned this flame with their focused ire, nurturing it from a single mote into a overwhelming conflagration that tore at the runic chains that had bound them for so long. Before long, the roaring of the flames was augmented by the howls of demonic spirits set free from a millennia of imprisonment, their visages taking form in the fire as manifestations of their burning rage. As the inferno bellowed ever higher, the city cowered in fear, for it was clear that the time of DIVERGENCE had come once more.

EATBRAIN unleashes the full fury of their horde with the fourth installment in their DIVERGENCE compilation series, a gargantuan 26 track compilation filled to the brim with new tracks from EATBRAIN mainstays and newcomers alike. Cresting the rise of the greatest hill in a land of rolling plains, the young explorer sighed with relief as he had come to the end of his great pilgrimage. It was from here, the legends recalled, that his forebears had first seen their home. Settling amidst the occasional copses of trees that dotted the landscape below and alongside the many streams and brooks that gave the land life, they had shared in the simple delights of existence as they worked the soil under the benevolent gaze of their many gods. To the explorer, such a life had seemed only a mere fantasy for so long. Yet, as he rested atop the hill, the land that was now reclaimed by nature seemed to brim with its promise once more.

In the thousands of years that separated him from the time of the legends, his people had moved on from such humble beginnings, finding their homes first in ever-further corners of the world and later amongst the stars. Along with the other peoples of his world, they had utilized their advanced technology to lead a mass exodus off of the planet and into the many known habitable worlds of the galaxy. In reverence to the world that had first given them shelter amidst the endless cosmos, the peoples of the world had removed all signs of their influence, allowing it to return to its most primal state. Now recognized as a holy planet by all members of the galactic federation of which his people were a part, all people of the explorer’s age were given a year to walk the lands of their ancestral paradise, allowing them to wonder at it’s natural marvels as their ancestors once did and pay homage to the celestial body that had borne forth their civilization. Thus it was that here, atop this legendary hill that yet seemed so insignificant within his full conception of the known universe, that the young explorer was suffused with the divine power that radiated from this ancient world. As he closed his eyes in communion with the planet, his spirit soared above the plains, ran through the underbrush beneath the trees, and flowed freely in harmony with the streams as he experienced a FREEDOM the likes of which he had never felt before. In that moment he knew, in the deepest part of his heart, that this was his home. No matter how far into the universe he would venture during his life, it always would be.

AGRESSOR BUNX return to EATBRAIN with FREEDOM, an EP which follows in the wake of their massive 2021 album ENSUING CATACLYSM. Amidst their characteristic complement of devastating neurofunk, FREEDOM’s title track delivers one of AGRESSOR BUNX’ most melodic compositions to date and imparts an optimistic message upon the ears of the EATBRAIN horde which sees the duo make space for a moment of reflection as they continue to lead the label’s faithful as a pair of EATBRAIN’s most veteran artists.

They had watched silently and stealthily from the cold vacuum of space, processing the activity of the civilization on the planet designated by the prime species as ‘Earth’. Monitoring the frequencies below and this culture’s increasingly advanced, but still infant communication technologies. The enforcers of galactic order - observing and calculating the potential for breaching the rift at that critical moment of social and technological advancement at which so many races had fallen. These primes were culturally schizophrenic, with much of the race confusing universal anomalies for the supernatural whilst the elite reached ever deeper towards a true understanding of the mysteries that would unlock access to the depths of the galaxy. Forbidden Society Recordings presents ''Prophets Of The Doom Remixes Part 1'' this remix pack contains some of the Forbidden Society cuts reworked by some masters within the genre. The release opens with a hypnotizing ''The Clamps'' remix of the label anthem ''Street Justice''. The staggering drums work great with the bassline and intrusive synth blips. The emotive ambiance that is introduced throughout makes for a great alternation. Second up is signature snare-man ''Donny'' who delivers a banging reword of Forbidden Society's BWM. Hardcore Drum & Bass music at it's finest,  it's all about the drums in this one. South African duo ''Counterstrike'' come up with a remix for ''Sellout''. This is a peak time rework, placing the emphasis on top notch drum-breaks and some funked out elements that  should strike a chord with lovers of the label. Hallucinator are reworking the ever so dark ''NYC Punk''. This fast paced theme is pumped up a notch with great care for the original. Label regular ''Katharsys'' does an adventurous reword of 'Skullcrawler' which stands out in originality. The pack is finished by S9 who creates havoc with his tremendous ''Outlaw'' remix. Forbidden Society Recordings at it's best with an undeniable all-star line up.Watch out for the part.2!
