This week's Local Selection is from Dublin native and rising DJ and producer Aoise, as we invite her to soundtrack your Wednesday afternoon.

The young DJ and producer is a graduate of the Sunil Sharpe, Doug Cooney and DeFeKT school of excellence, having studied DJ techniques and music production at BIFE. There have been many high hitters to come from this course and after hearing Aoise's take on tunes we look forward to what's in store for her.

Her sound stems from dark, dubby techno that has developed and matured through the years, taking inspiration from the likes of Ø [Phase], Sterac, Oscar Mulero and Sleeparchive. 

Having shared lineups with some of Europe's heavy hitters Christoph Faust (FKA Inhalt Der Nacht), Sunil Sharpe, Tommy Holohan and Shampain, we expect to see much more of her in the future. 

You can catch Aoise supporting Clouds this Friday in Dublin, plus at the Life Festival launch party on April 29th in Mullingar.

Fochs Koshka is fast becoming one of the most forward-thinking duo in the Norwegian electronic music scene, flying the flag for increasingly hybridized techno and hyper-attitude. In a techno scene where producers glance back on the past for inspiration - Fochs Koshka’s sounds are a glimpse into the future. Their sound is matchless and cannot be defined; readily bottling a multitude of sentiments in a relatively short space of time. The Norwegian duo continues their expedition through shape-shifting universes on their debut for Mhost Likely Black, with three distinct but equally remarkable tracks. The EP comes complete with remixes from Brussel-based composer Öspiel (RAW) and everyone's favourite uncle, Reidar Bruun.

This week’s Local Selection comes from Dublin techno legend Scidley Rott, AKA Debbs. Playing the best of slamming techno, blistering breaks and sheer debauchery, the 199th edition of the series is face meltingly good.

I’ve been lucky enough to go back a long time with Debbs having booked her for our SubSession parties in the legendary Print Shop down in Cork, and she has always been a cut above the rest bringing a huge selection of classic and ravey techno to all her sets.

Having grown up in Dublin and being inspired by the deadly techno scene at the time, she is a consistent collector and a purveyor of the best in underground techno, which her extensive vinyl collection is a testament to.

Well known for playing raves up and down the country, along with her residency as part of the d:fuse crew and a regular feature with Interruption and Annaghtek , she has earned a reputation for always packing a punch. Most recently she’s embraced the digital realms of DJing so we expect to be hearing a lot more mixes from her.

In the meantime, turn this one UP!
