Ultraίsta, the multimedia trio comprised of vocalist/artist Laura Bettinson and multi-instrumentalist/producers Nigel Godrich and Joey Waronker have announced their self-titled debut album which will be released on October 2nd. 

Preceding their eagerly anticipated LP, Ghostly (exclusively in North America) and I Am Fortified are releasing a limited edition 12” featuring remixes by Four Tet and Matthew Dear of album track "Smalltalk."

Overflow

At the heart of Agua Trip are Bill Carrasco and Lindsey Boise, songwriters and multi-instrumentalists who met in Tennessee in the late 90's before spending the first decade of the 2000's in New York City writing, performing and recording their music. From the very beginning, Agua Trip has welcomed a wide array of genres into their repertoire, from Beatle–ish pop and Marley–esque reggae to Mexican corridos, European electro-pop and Quebecois folksongs. Like the pioneers before them, they created their own genre: an alternative, world–influenced pot–pourri born from a huge net of influences. Agua Trip's two official releases (Breakfast Translations and Genetics) continue to sound more fresh as they mature, with the world seeming to catch up with the thickly-textured compositions as time speeds on.

For a large number of fans, Agua Trip's music is like that rare and precious poetry anthology they found by accident in a small bookstore nestled under the trees on their favorite side street.

The core duo has never been shy of collaboration, helping create the Moveable Feast Art and Music events, working with visual artists, non-profits, poets, and the modern dance community, where their music has been often used for dance instruction and choreography. As musical artists, they have been fortunate to play with a cadre of talented and visionary performers.
