Romania club music is constantly evolving. With figures like Vlad Caia in the scene its not hard to see why. With his label Amphia, work as SIT (w/Cristi Cons) and of course his own solo productions, Caia is constantly pushing the boundaries of house and techno, always keeping the dance floor on its toes with challenging selections. This mentality has seen him build a huge and devoted following worldwide. It soon became clear in this conversation just why. Vlad is incredibly passionate about music and his knowledge runs incredibly deep. Subjects range from jazz music to the iconic Sunwaves, a festival where his sets have reached mythical status.

In a time of economic collapse and political unrest, on 4 August, a massive explosion hit Beirut. A large part of the city became rubble and many lives were lost. Repairs of damage and response to tremendous needs on the ground continue to be overwhelming and insufficiently funded. While priority is given to immediate relief and reconstruction, those most vulnerable such as pregnant and lactating women, children, elderly, people with disabilities, etc have special needs which require dedicated attention. Essential work carried out by local NGOs that requires less investment and provides long term impact for those most excluded and vulnerable, remains underfunded and with winter here, the situation is of growing concern. 

Resources gathered will be distributed to local NGOs prioritising people most in need with a high potential of exclusion and discrimination. The projects chosen with support from Impact Lebanon, will aim at providing essential relief, restoring livelihoods and increasing the capacity of small businesses.

The brainchild of two musical figures that hail from the concrete jungle of Istanbul, Bärtaub's musical trail is beginning to make waves across the world of minimalist music. Members Mutlu San & Batu Güler are both deep appreciators of the house & techno movement and accomplished producers in their own right. Mutlu draws his influence from the sounds of spheres from different cultures, as well as pursuing an obsession with wires and analogue hardware sequencers. Batu's high standing in Istanbul's underground community goes back to the mid-2000s, being an instrumental force in kickstarting Indigo Club, whilst holding residencies in the cities nest clubs, Wake Up Call, and Suma Beach. 

As a duo, their compositions are blessed by a perpetual, spacious, and moving nature. Triggering a balanced output that is both danceable and musically off the wall. Combining energy and grooves with minimal textures and raw analog overlays. Their measured, drip-fed output of releases continues to tease fans. Having already signed prized cuts to @paragram-records, @Otherside_thirdeyemusic, and most notably, mighty London imprint @R-Srecords. Whatever the flavour though, with the Bärtaub stamp behind it you are guaranteed a sonic journey of epic proportions that is both intimate and exciting.
