Sunset set I played at Faunalis, a festival by Papania.
This set is a very special one for me, it's the culmination of a lot of work and love we've put into this festival, and also the first time I get to play one of my own productions out for people to hear.

Here's what happened to be one of my favorites sets to date, small party in the bush with a close group of friends, a perfect opportunity to put to test all the countless nights we've had with @hosca sharing tunes and ideas. Set flowed spectacularly and we're very happy with the result, hope you get to enjoy a fraction of what we lived that day.

Episode 011 - This House Moves - Bondi Radio - Goose

Producer Challenge #1
Challenge: Make a musical piece of 45 seconds to 3 minutes which was made only using samples recorded through a microphone.
Process:
Recorded a lot of samples with the Tascam DR-40, mostly 1 shots and textures. Sang a bit into it, just 1 note which somehow was a perfect B. With that I made all the chords and pads you can hear, using a bunch of different audio effects including granular processors and reverbs.
Used a recording I had of my friends at a party to create a texture in the background.
The bassline was also made with my voice pitched down and eq'd.
The kick was very hard to make, I tried different samples and nothing sounded very good, tried to get an auto filter to come down fast with an envelope and a lot of resonance to kind of cheat and synthesize a bit of a kick on top of the sample, but it sounded terrible, so I just left it as it was cause I didn't want to record more samples.

Improvisation in C minor using Moog modular and a Digitone.
Experimenting with FM and semi random modulation.
Chance on digitone notes to avoid too much repetition.

Recorded in one take + basic mastering afterwards.

Improvisation in F# Dorian using Digitakt (Drums), Digitone (Pad) and minilogue (Bass)
Jamming on a cv keyboard into plaits with a few modulations made accesible through envelopes and the mod wheel. Into an octatrack for FX and mixing.

Recorded in one take + basic mastering afterwards.

Modular Dreams I

This set was recorded on my first performance at sash on 15-12-2018, played from 4 to 6pm after Jay Lee Loyd and left the decks to Robbie Lowe. Dave Seaman closed the night with one of the most epic sets I've heard!
Day was amazing, thanks to everyone who came and danced to my set, it was really nice to see so many familiar faces :)
