Finally home, sick

This is a song I wrote as I recorded it on my trusty dusty phone. I was actually kind of parodying lyrics I wrote for another song that is a bit more on the mushy side, that I am reluctant to sing in a sweet manner more fitting of the words, and I was also kind of experimenting with a different way to sing. I just loved the way it turned out, I haven't done anything with it since, and I probably won't get another police siren so beautifully placed, so here it is!

This is a little diddy I wrote in January of this year about leaving and going or coming and staying. We always have reasons of doing any combination of those, and more often than not, other people tend pull us into one direction or another. For me, I feel like I push myself to leave most places most times, and it is other people who always draw me back. Cool dude, Mike Isenburg, helped me get his recording done.

Whoa!

This is a newer version of a song I wrote when I first started living in California that you may have already heard. I've since started performing it a bit different here and there, and this version reflects that. This here was recorded with the help of a cool guy I recently met, Mike Isenburg. Which version do you like better?

Finally home, sick (new new)

Hey hey! I just wrote this song the other day. I performed it a couple hours after writing it... It wasn't a great performance! Any who, here is the song a bit closer to how I think I want it sound for yal (and for me, too!). Just a phone recording for now. Will I EVER get into a real studio? Will I ever include more instruments than just acoustic guitar?? Will I be part of the world's first one human, mostly dog band???  Stay tuned! Even You (Demo)

Wooo, is this exciting! This is my firsty first most firstly ever original song to be recorded in an actual studio. While spending the day with some nautical new buddies, putting down some vocals on their projects, we had some little extra time, and we were able to record this! Thank you to Peter Novoa for recording and to Karter Mycroft for mixing this here little diddy. 

So about "Pura Vida." This was a song I wrote over two years ago. One that I had most of the lyrics down, and  one which the lyrics slowly collected dust and sand and dead skin cells, until one day I finally decided to dust it off and give it new life. I really enjoy performing this song because this is one of the first songs that I started performing that I can let loose vocally. It always kind of jolts people into seeing me for a second first time, and I like that.
