Simple Jack DEMO (Recording and Rough Mix)

Very large session (+90 tracks) with tons of options for mics, printed hardware processing, etc., however a very straight-forward tune.

Mostly SSL-style processing on percussion, Neve EQ and PIE comp on guitars. 

Bass re-amped, but very little done to the overall "sound" of the band. Great performances, and recorded in a great room (printed to tape pre-mix).

Good Lovin (Premaster Mix)

My mixing of several tunes from here and there. All multi-tracked stems (most straight from tape) mixed in Ableton Live.

Goodnight (Rough Premaster Mix)

Dr. Sample 303-style compression on 2-Bus to give the song pump/movement. Drums sent thru the rear bus to keep them glued to the forward vocal and ethereal arrangement.

Original drum samples were printed very wide. I left this as-is, allowing vocals to be featured right up the middle in an interesting way. 

Very noisy guitar treated with some dynamic EQ and multi-band compression.  I left in the string/room/breath sounds, as it felt like it added natural space in the mix. Somewhat sub-par string performance and recording treated with EQ and verb.

Excellent vocal recordings and performances featured prominently in the mix.

Atlantis Bound - It Was My Fault for Waiting (Premaster Rough Mix)

The original mix was very dark, muddy, and dynamically "flat". (Combined samples and recorded drums/percussion. Synth bass. Large session file, ~60 tracks. )

Brought more air and presence into vocal and main drum track.

Went nuts on the middle-8/bridge, creatively. I created more of a soundscape than what was in the original recording, to help the track move into the last chorus. 

Middle-8/bridge background vocals were heavily treated to remove excessive breath.

The recording was good, but had to remove a TON of whistle tones from vocals across the entire song,
