This isn't Samichinmo, this is Konpaku no Elegy (Kurapika's theme)

This isn't so much the "other" mix of https://soundcloud.com/trecathlus/morning-light as a completely new one. I never edited a version with drums back then, primarily because the way I played them (manually on the 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐕-𝟑𝟎) wasn't as consistent as I needed it to be. I liked the sound -- those 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 samples are comprehensive and more than decent to my ears -- but my performance wasn’t up to snuff. That said, the piece moves too slowly to get a fluid beat with ease -- unless you know what you're doing.

Thankfully, I can now digitally adjust and repair the percussion track and make it more listenable. That's an equal amount of good and bad for a tweaker like me, but the flow is better, which shows what a difference sync makes to the overall texture. I've also played around with reverb, delay, and other effects to see how wide and warm I could get this to sound while keeping it clean and pure.
