I was considering saving this for this year's "Spooky Week"--one of the few planned themed posting conceits that I adhere to...right around Halloween, I share some of the darker Interbay tracks that I've come up with.  (There's also a whole playlist dedicated to the darker side of Interbay, including tracks that were shared for last year's Spooky Week.)  

But, other than having "Nightmare" in the title, this track really isn't all that spooky.  (OR IS IT??? DUUUHHH-DUUUUHHH-DUUUUNNNNNNNNN!)  

This track is sruf rock, made electronic by having lots of synth washes and effects messing up one of the simplest forms of rock and roll there is...  But it is enough for me to still claim the "Electronic" tag--justified or not...  

If you recognize the thumbnail (you're probably old, like me), you may also recognize (or think you recognize) the vocal snippets here...  A lot of this dialogue wasn't in the original theatrical cut that I saw in the theater when it came out (again, I said...old)--it was the second R rated movie I ever got to see (after All That Jazz)...and I had written permission from my mom letting me watch the movie on my own...and the usher was my 9th grade algebra teacher!  (So, I couldn't just "sneak" in...)  

I like surf music just fine--I like music of nearly all kinds...well, the good stuff of nearly all kinds...and I've made it a part of this crazy Interbay music project that if I get a crazy idea for a track, I should go ahead and make that track.  

And that's what I did here.  This is one of the tracks that I thought were going to end up on Facebook, with videos made for them, back in 2024.  It has been sitting and collecting dust in the deepest part of the Vault...and maybe because it is an unexpectedly sunny day here in Seattle, I thought it was time to share a little "Nightmare Beach" with you today!  

(...and I do mean "a little"--it is delightfully short, compared to recently posted Interbay tracks...)
