I found Rim's track by chance while looking up some totally unrelated music, couldn't pass on without listening to the whole track, and this remix idea came up while doing that

Hamburg electronic music duo with Syrian roots Shkoon delivers Underyourskin Records‘ next EP ‘Letters‘ - a musical clash of diverse folk and traditional influences fusing together with a downtempo house vibe. The dreamy ‘Ala Moj Al Bahr‘ plays with the symbiosis between oriental vocals and a desert like desolating sound construct that finds its peak in a melodic discrete synth oriented part that lets you feel the occident. JAVID‘s remix puts more emphasize on the folk elements of the original limiting the vocals to a minimum yet being so on point that the yearning for more is inevitable.

The up-beat, electronica, dub, house and club-style pieces are composed in the spirit of celebration of Rim's legacy. This album, released exactly 1 year after Rim Banna passed away, is a reminder that her voice and message are here to stay.
