“Requiem” and “Kaneda” are the two most iconic themes from the soundtrack of “Akira”. The wonder and dread of the apocalypse are beautifully captured by the first theme, while the second theme conveys essentially the rebellious and indipendent character of the protagonist, Kaneda. I wanted for so long to combine these themes together, and I managed to do it focusing on “Requiem's theme” in the first half and “Kaneda's theme” in the second half. I hope you'll like this mix!
