Welcome to this FULL recording from a long ride at Montreal's most mythical address.

In the era of low attention spans filled with click bate and two minute songs, putting out a 5-hour piece of content feels particularly good. Bring on the 10 part docuseries, right? 

The chance to open, build, peak and land a room like this is what I live for. As the night progressed, I blacked out in flow from being enveloped in the moment and in sound.  

Prancing on this dance floor for so many years, I have in a way been schooled & trained here. My approach to take on this room was something I had been visualizing for years. 

So it is with deep love for the underground that I offer this set to the internet. 

Thank you Stereo Montreal for creating an environment for the culture to continue to flourish. No phones, No gimmicks, just pure sound and humans that come together out of the same passion. I am honoured to call Montreal home, and I wouldn't be the person I am today without all the humans who have contributed to this space before me.  

Thank you to everyone who was on the dance floor that night. I can still feel your energy.

Kinetik Sessions es una serie que busca conectar y documentar la escena del Drum & Bass y el Jungle desde Latinoamérica hacia distintas partes del mundo.

Cada entrega presenta a un DJ invitado que comparte su sonido: desde el jungle clásico hasta las distintas ramas del Drum & Bass actual.

🔊 KS003 – Criminal Dub

DJ y productor con raíces en Arequipa, Criminal Dub comenzó alrededor del 2010 organizando fiestas y moviendo la escena bass del sur del Perú.

Fue parte de los colectivos Beat Attack y Bass & Roots, se presentó en el encuentro de arte digital Kiebre en La Paz y ha compartido escenario con artistas como Daedelus (USA), Plastician (UK) y DJ’s de la escena sudamericana.

A lo largo de su recorrido impulsó proyectos como Wicked, una de las fiestas más recordadas del underground arequipeño, y lanzó tracks que van del dubstep al jungle, entre ellos “Origen de una Leyenda”, “Rapala” y sus aportes al compilado “Sobreviviendo Babylon” del sello Grinders Records.

También ha pasado por eventos como Golpe Bajo, Bassline y Lima Soundsystem, llevando su sonido a distintas ciudades de la región.

Actualmente reside en California (USA), donde sigue produciendo Reggae, Dub, Jungle, Dubstep y Drum & Bass. En 2024 lanzó un bootleg de “Telepatía” de Kali Uchis y prepara nueva música más centrada en el jungle.

En esta sesión de Kinetik Sessions, Criminal Dub presenta un set marcado por influencias dub, jungle y DnB.
