(Wadi Halfa, Sudan 1929-Berkely, California, USA May 22, 2006) Sudanese performing musician of Islamic Nubian and Arabic Music.
Almost 4 decades have elapsed since Hamza El Din started his sacred mission of promoting, developing and presenting the Nubian Culture to the world. He was one of the many thousands suffering in the Nubian Diaspora resulting from the loss of hometowns and villages after inundation by the waters of the Aswan High Dam.
His sentiments are deeply expressed through his songs, in which his longing is expressed by calling Nubia, the daughter of mother earth.
His name remains synonymous with Nubia, Nubian Music and culture. His long and cumbersome journey was accompanied by his oud (lute) and tar (the traditional Nubian instrument).
His style is simple and majestically powerful. With a charismatic voice, and only a few taps on the tar along with tender play on the oud he can make all Nubians hear themselves.
Hamza graduated as an electrical engineer over 4 decades ago when electrical engineers were scarce in his homeland Sudan, and in Egypt, where he got his degree. However, lacking any musical background, his heart was, nevertheless, drawn to Nubian music, and he developed a sufficiently advanced level of playing to be regarded as one of the few living masters of this instrument. Hamza managed not only to revive, but also to create new Nubian music traditions.
His Sufi background, and teachings from his grandfather about Rumi and other famous Sufi mystics and poets, have qualified him to become a master in this field as well.
Hamza el Din died while hospitalized from complications following surgery for a gallbladder infection on May 22, 2006.

It' had been above 30 years of our lives, roaming in the arabian deserts, Just now in my brain 
imagination,i wish reach to LakeNubia,soon it's gonna be reality, soon we will dry Jamal Abdul Nasser Ocean. To my grandfather's soul, Sidahmed Naper, and his eldest son Mohammed. I use to live until now  in three castles of Naper, in the Valley of Nubia ( Vally of Wadi Halfa). May god bless them all & bless all the Nubian warriors, who's rest in peace now. They inspire the Nubian Nation before the expected aftermath crash happen.

Unlike the Egyptian government, the Sudanese government is not doing anything to preserve Nubian heritage in Northern Sudan. Did you know there are temples, statutes of ancient Nubian-Egyptian gods, and more than 200 Nubian Pyramids in Northern Sudan? they are distroying it by building new dams and by encouraging the civil random exploration of gold. 
Help us save this heritage. Join our cause lets SAVE it.

Its the time to be together as one, to have a strong stand, to rescue our huge precious history, to let our government know that 'our heritage is more valuable than the gold they are searching for, its not just stones as they think, to build dams and sink it, its not a commodity to sell it, its our past, present and our future, its our lifes'. Stop building dams, stop distoying our history, stop

6. EisaErraya

EisaErraya lived one third of his life in Abka and is struggling with the other two thirds in the asbestos roofed concentration camp in the outskirts of Kush, now called Butana. Although he caught up with the Internet and the smartphone technology and surprisingly exceeded the imagination of the Silicon Valley nerds, he can’t avoid the recurring memories of the cold winter dawn at Datti where he and a score of young Nubians helped the UNESCO supported excavations of the Abkan ruins. He can't forget the tiny sculptures of cockroaches, cats, sparrows and women with huge breasts. The memory of the sculptures never faded in spite of the horrors of the asbestos roofed concentration camp in the outskirts of Kush, now called Butana. His memories sometimes take a pleasant turn as he remembers the children walking in the darkness towards the Birbae (the sites of the excavations). He would remember SalahErraya playing hide and seek with the scorpions as they walk on the smooth stones of the second cataract. More recently EisaErraya became a mathematician and kept figuring out in his mind the millions of kilowatts lost to the Abkans from the construction of the Arabgyptian high dam. It is not only the loss of fine dates liquor that he mourns, but the darkness under LakeNubia. That is why he remembers vividly the day when SidiKuku lost his smile triggering the start of the Abkan

Ahmedy Naper  was born in 1990, 24 August in Jizan, Saudi Arabia. Before the beginning of the second gulf war , breaths the Nubian air  for his firt time in The Valley Of Hallfa, he had a couple months only, up and down there got his first swim on Nile river, at that time the Pharaoh's tragedy running inside the grand son of Taharqa The Nubian Pharaohs, his grandfather's speart mixed with The Evil Kurrkkud, Ahmedy Naper.
