Hello this is my cover of Imagine Dragons' Bleeding Out. Wonderful song. 

Fun fact # 1: I had to record 15 separate tracks for this cover: 10 vocal and 5 instrumental. This took me about 3 hours to do woooo

Fun fact # 2: Yes I did all of this on my own, every track. I say this because once I did something like this and I let a friend listen and they thought it was my brother who was doing the lowest notes. Nope it's all me yay (I just realized how ANNOYING it would be to have to listen to 10 of me. The things I think about, seriously ok nevermind)

Fun fact # 3: I did a cover of this song and sent it to my good friend Adrian in August when he requested it in July. What a good friend I am, right. I originally covered this on guitar but I experimented with ukulele and - voila.

Bleeding Out by Imagine Dragons (Cover on ukulele by Aida)

Title track of my newest project! 

"Eyes", which is what I've called this project, will include a few new songs, the best I've written over the last six months. I decided to call this one "Eyes" because in those six months, I discovered the beauty of how an event can be looked at in so many different ways. Then I wanted to explore those different ways, and choose the most honest yet positive ways to look at things. It fascinates me that everyone's eyes can be looking at the same thing, yet the way each of us thinks about it can be so incredibly different.

For "Eyes", the song itself, I remember getting the melody and lyrics for the first part of the chorus first. (From "We were so beautiful" to "You were made so beautiful for someone else".) There's a part in one of my favourite movies, Valentine's Day, where Morley tries to explain to Reed why she can't marry him, and she says, "[The wedding ring]'s so beautiful - for someone else." That's what inspired me in the writing process of this song. I also remember finishing this song in about 45 minutes on the floor of my parents' room. (I have no idea why I felt that fact would be relevant to you but have it anyways.)

I'm not the best at producing and mixing and stuff about that but I'm learning!! I'M SO NERVOUS. Hope you enjoy this song ^_^

I wanted to write a song, based on personal experience, about how people try to poke their noses into other people's relationships. I just felt like people outside the relationship don't have a say in what happens between the two people in a relationship. They don't know the whole story. I wrote this song when I could feel myself relapsing back (slightly!) into having thoughts of self-harm and suicide. It felt like I didn't have anyone and the only thing I could liken this feeling of helplessness to was drowning. 

Fun fact: I cried recording this!! Good times. (Also I don't think this song was mixed very well – really sorry about that.)

This is dedicated to the friend who left without a word, who was the friend who used to stay.
