"I would love to say that I recorded this on a whim without planning, but realistically I spent a while refining the set list to properly encapsulate what a more “driving” and “rolling” Aiden Francis set sounds like compared to previous mixes. For this mix I veered towards a truly progressive journey - working our way up through different energy levels and textures, and withholding explosive energy until we reach a peak in the final stages of the mix.

I like to see my sets as a deep ocean dive, starting out light and fun to start then quickly dipping into deeper territories and slowly bringing ourselves back up for that release of energy - hopefully this sentiment translates well whilst listening. And if none of that connects then I hope you enjoy it anyway xoxo"

@aidenfrancis is a vibrant presence surfing the Manchester scene and beyond, following a string of releases on the likes of Magic Carpet, Duality Trax, Gestalt, Radiant Records and Houseum. The only way is up for this avid record collector and his eclectic sound that undulates between soft-electro, trance, tech-house whilst always keeping his fingers dipped into progressive.

High Hoops presents a compilation of electronic tracks from artists across the globe to celebrate 10 years of ‘love on the dance floor’ and to raise funds for three amazing charities.

Proceeds from this compilation will be shared with the LGBT Foundation, Mermaids and Meningitis now, in memory of our friends Ash, Alex T and Willow.

Deep in the sweat-slicked shadows of a subterranean circuit party, a congregation of scantily dressed masc queens writhe to the rhythm of a commanding voice cracking through the air. Drawn together by a pulsing energy, their bodies instinctively move toward an iridescent orb floating mid-air, glowing hotter with every beat.

Hypnotic and divine, it repeats, “Gonna make you sweat”
The queens begin to drip. The rising heat wrings every pore, and the floor beneath them turns slick with luminous sweat. The Orb feeds on the heat and euphoria, pulsing as it begins its descent. Slowly, it dips into the shimmering sea of sweat it has summoned and begins to churn.

Swirling 🌀 Swishing 🌊 Shaking 😵‍💫

The liquid spins into a vast vortex that snakes through the cavernous party space, encircling the queens. The whirlpool rushes around them roaring and elemental, but never knocks them from their feet. And then within the spiral a figure begins to form. 

Towering 👢 Dripping 💧Divine 👄

The dancers freeze, entranced as the vortex tightens and out steps a magnificent being, 7 feet tall and gleaming with beauty and power. A deity born of sweat and bassline, Muscle Mary was born.
