"Estar Persecuta" - An enigmatic state of being, akin to a dark cloud looming over one's psyche. In Argentina, this term captures the essence of feeling perpetually pursued, watched, or haunted. It's that nagging sense of unease, a constant vigilance against perceived threats, be they real or imagined. "To be Persecuta" encapsulates the nervous tension, the anxious whispers in the shadows, and the relentless weight of unseen forces bearing down upon you. It's a chilling reminder that sometimes, our own minds can be our greatest adversaries.

Described as “the sound of the Auckland night” by Rolling Stone, and hailed as one of the most exciting releases of 2023, AQUARIES by PollyHill and Samara Alofa is touching down once again. The genre-fluid debut of minimal electronica, moody R&B, and ghostly trip-hop is coming to vinyl, this time with a collection of bonus transmissions from the streets of Tāmaki Makaurau. Curated by DJ HALFQUEEN, AQUARIES: AGE OF URANUS beams in six remixes from a crew of local sonic purveyors: MOKOTRON, DJ Snakelegs, Caru, Amamelia, Leaping Tiger, and Queen of the Hill (PollyHill & HALFQUEEN). The limited first pressing pairs the original eight tracks with six reworks, because why settle for one zodiac water sign album… when you can have two. - Flying Out 

PollyHill and Samara Alofa are musicians and producers based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland). 

In 2023, they joined forces to release the critically acclaimed collaborative debut AQUARIES. The two built an otherworldly odyssey by way of minimal electronica, sultry R&B vocals, atmospheric trip-hop. Rolling Stone AUS/NZ called it “the sound of the Auckland night,” ranking it in their Best New Zealand Albums of the Year, while award-winning journalist Tony Stamp explained on RNZ’s The Sampler that “together the pair have carved out their own sonic space, deliberately shunning anything too comfortable in favour of something that’s just theirs.” 

Now teamed up with Sunreturn, PollyHill and Samara Alofa return with AQUARIES: AGE OF URANUS, a remix album curated by Tāmaki’s DJ HALFQUEEN.
