lots to say but this has been a project years in the making, a creative risk by all measures away from the music i’ve made in the past but an exploration into one’s self. 

this EP is about moments that feel like they’ll stay with you forever. most of the first drafts came together while living in japan — alone with my thoughts, walking unfamiliar streets. that isolation gave me clarity I didn’t know I needed. together with friends in my home studio in san francisco, it was refined.

the visual story of “without you” (and the upcoming tracks around OUR JUNE) started off with just a few ideas. i was lucky to connect with @steph.mari who brought the vibe to life. the moments of staring into empty streets, witnessing the movement of the sun across an empty alley, and the feeling of smallness within a sea of people while coping with loss.  what do you feel when you hear it?

without you

When you feel like you hit rock bottom, sometimes you need to remind yourself that this isn’t the end - that you will heal, slowly but surely. This song came out of a little bit of self-talk I did when I was in the darkest place in my life.
