Recorded live from our FOLD takeover with Transmissions, this one comes courtesy of softi who opened Room 2 with a two hour set we simply couldn’t keep to ourselves. Weaving through glitchy, swamp-soaked textures and deep, hypnotic rhythms, she laid down a trippy journey that set the perfect tone for the night ahead. Dial in and drift!

Hagva began in 2022 as a shared experiment between CP1 and Not Mass, artists closely tied to Milan’s Evolvere collective and Stagno Records. What started as a dialogue has grown into a practice of dismantling rhythm and building it back stronger, threading techno through post-club ruptures, industrial grit, and deep ambient undertones. From Evolvere’s underground nights in Milan to RSO Berlin, Module CPH, Buka Milano, Tempovìa, and Zurich’s D.A.S., their sets have carried the same uncompromising edge: a refusal to settle into comfort, constantly pulling dancers into new terrain.

The mix we present today is a three-hour live recording from their set at D.A.S. in Zürich earlier this year, capturing Hagva in full flight. There’s no easing in, it’s a straight leap onto a fast-moving train, powered by relentless percussion and groove, with sudden swerves that snap the floor awake. Heavy, urgent, and unpredictable yet always precise, it’s a reminder that energy doesn’t need excess to be overwhelming. For those hearing them for the first time, it’s the perfect entry point; for those who already know, it’s another layer of proof. With their debut EP arriving September 15 on Stagno Records, this set stands as a clear statement of intent.

Deep, dark, swampy, spooky or whatever you want to call it :)

Every year, Alfonso, the artistic director of Mostra, hides a few cards up his sleeve, and this time one of them was DjSport. Closing the Friday program at Fabra i Coats is never random, it’s a statement, and by the time her halftime pulse began rolling through the space, we all knew why she was there. The groove was elastic, full of tension that never broke until she decided it should. Then came the shift: precision turning into pressure, tempo climbing until Fabra felt like a steam room. Just when it seemed ready to tip into chaos, she had her “hold my beer” moment, controlled detonation, a sudden swerve into broken, bass-heavy terrain that felt like opening a window mid-storm. From there on, it was cruise control, the kind that hums with energy yet never loses composure.

Mauritius-born and now based in Barcelona, DjSport carries that balance of warmth and unpredictability wherever she plays. Her debut at Mostra was the kind that makes you trust Alfonso’s instincts even more, those mysterious names on the poster that end up defining the memory.

pondcast ~ 004 has arrived… our very first frog species transmission! hopping to you via @ceremoniesdj ~ DJ, frog lover, and absolute social media comedian. as ⅓ of On Earth, host of popping pre-pandemic parties, Ceremonies knows her way around deep-cutting, vibe-serving, eclectic tunes. she chose rana pipiens (northern leopard frog) to feature.

some words from her: 
“night falls over the bog. scattered light from the moon catches the breaking water's surface. the low hum of insects brings a frantic and disorganized energy. water striders glide around, the water's edge lapping gently over the shore. the ground vibrates. soft. bubbling. the reeds stir with a repeating wind and the cattails creek, casting majestic shadows as they sway. prey birds are heard in the distance.

the air is thick with mischief and ritual as the frogs emerge to hunt, to sing, to mate, to court each other. The dance is one of love, courtship, conflict, ancient patterns, predator and prey. moths flit around and spiders sit motionless in their webs. the veil is thin. the past and the present merge. 

this mix is confrontational, wet and squelching, muddy, gritty, sonically askew. Full of diversion and repetition, complex basslines, and a wide and wandering BPM range mirroring the polyrhythmic symphony of the bog alive at night.”
