Air Max ‘97 returns to DECISIONS after two outings on Timedance with three new dance floor trips. EP opener Coriolis is a deviant drum and bass abstraction, flooded with pointillistic percussion, impish structural shifts and heady barometric upwellings. Mouthfeel offers a looser, mildly boggling polyrhythmic groove anchored around a chonky bass drum. Collapsing Void all but disappears into the trench, a crepuscular study in stop-start neck-snap bounce and icky sonics. Brief but dankly distilled, Coriolis is a potent product of Air Max ‘97’s well established, relentlessly volatile laboratory of rhythm and sound design.

The ever-reliable London label welcome Montreal artist, laced, who delivers a dreamy cut of sugar-coated rainbow electronics, including a remix from fellow Canadian SIM.

As she closed her eyes she watched colours bleed into one another. They were so vivid she could feel them pour over her face and down her neck. She pictured how it would look. As a deep scarlet filled her ear and a rich blue licked her neck, she too found herself melting into colour.

Caustic Reverie is a 4-track EP which combines the warmth of highly-processed synthesised sounds with harshness of percussive instrumentation in a sunshine-doused exploration of depth and texture. Crisp blips, swishes and tiny twangs tempt the touch, creating a soundscape at once futuristic and psychedelic: not a far cry from the music of foodman or Smerz.
 
On the title track, vibrant synth plucks reverberate around a cavernous space, warming the atmosphere before mutating into a broken techno rhythm. Bolstered by low-end hits and peppered with Jessy Lanza-esque vocal chops, this one’s a real treat for the ears.

Crafted as an audio accompaniment to his ‘Turbo Sud’ research project, ‘ZONA SISRI’ is the brainchild of Italian-born, London based multidisciplinary artist Agostino Quaranta. This selection of music follows on from his previous installations, live performances, exhibitions, writings and research activities all aimed at starting a conversation around Southern Italy's sonic traditions.

The tracks draw inspiration from imaginary and factual memories of the micro-history of Tecnopizzica: forgotten attempts from the early ’90s to computerise Puglia’s traditional music style, Pizzica Salentina.

Fellow Italian producers Ehua and Piezo contribute to the release with two masterful remixes in their own unique styles.

The "almost" Breton fa:act is back with Club Toolz, a self-pro- duced 2 tracks EP which smells good the west of France: dub vibes and butter.

On Amnesia Stoner, we first seem to attend the bad trip of a joint smoker that the product has satellised in a celestial beyond where a hypnotic bass makes the planes capsize. We finally come back on the ground with Butter Cutter, in the middle of a crazy chase with policemen in exit of party, while in the distance the DJs continue to make vibrate the sound-system in a cloud of tear gas.

Two hyper energetic tracks, which beyond the literature, push to the loss of control, whether it is in the middle of a club with a bubbling concrete floor or outside, stuck in the mud up to the knees.

« BeautySick » sees re:ni plunging into a world of intoxicating serpentine grooves. Spectral vocal slabs chime like echoes of a distant hallucinatory trance, while industrial drumworks find a mesmerizing counterpoint in eerie dubwise atmospheres.

These four compositions not only showcase re:ni's evolution but also explore themes of confidence and feminine power, as well as the transient moments where darkness converges with light. They stand as a testament to the sonic prowess of one or favorite dancefloor sorceress.
