Cloutier’s twenty-plus year commitment has been built upon his integrity as a DJ and authority as a selector. His reputation as an unequivocal, dexterous force is increasingly becoming one of note. An extended mix from Rrose to celebrate our entry into 2023 and the upcoming release of TULIP SPACE [EAUX1591] available for pre-order now at https://eaux.ro/album/tulip-space and the upcoming full-length album PLEASE TOUCH (full announcement in Spring). The mix contains tracks from both releases.

This is a studio mix, started with an initial live take and then combed over meticulously with automated filters, eq, and fx. This is the same setup I use to play out, minus the automation. There is rarely a point when only one track is playing. I always try to find mixes that feel like a new track emerges from the combination. I imagine the optimal listening environment to be eyes-closed with headphones on, but I also hope you will feel an irresistible urge to move at some points ;)

Rrose : 23

The sixth episode of our Herbarium series was recorded by the very talented Ina Kacz. It is composed of organic textures, intriguing grooves and tense harmonies - a great delight for mind and body. With this mix Ina features her connection to the plant 'Mimosa Pudica', also known as the sensitive or shy plant. She is fascintated by its elegant and fast movement when it protects itself in the way of closing down while being touched or during night time. Another specialty of this wonderful species is that it can even learn with time what kind of touches do no harm and which ones do. Ina can relate to this versatility and consciousness in her personality as an artist. Especially in this mix it is easy to recognize how precise and versatile she curated her selection and its interpretation. The atmosphere of the gentle and textural beginning evolves into energetic faster dancefloor oriented grooves, to come back to a very soothing soundscape. Truly like the opening and closing of the leaves, fitting to each moment.

Clear as spring water, the memory of Shoal's beautiful live set echoing through the Norwegian mountains, finally sharing the stage together at Monument (@monument-podcast) after meeting in Amsterdam several years ago. Those familiar with our dear friends at Harmony Rec (@harmony-rec) will be undoubtedly familiar with Kenny's impeccable body of work, and for the rest an eye-opening treat awaits. Here, Kenny gathers highlights from his recent live sets and newly recorded material, arranged and refined into a perfect contemplation of the crisp arboreal air, a vivid composition of body and sound entwined tightly beneath the earth. #114 presented by Tokyo based artist Ryogo Yamamori (@ryogoyamamoritracks). A brooding, eclectic mix which perfectly showcases his signature style. The Japanese producer has a sound reminiscent of the broader, ever-impressive Japanese techno scene, but always with his own signature take. 

Ryogo's DJ'ing & productions (often via his own label Kagerou),  immerse you in a dreamy atmosphere of organic & unique percussive  elements, underpinned by a sparse warmth & driving psychedelic techno energy.

We've been on a bit of a break the past couple months as the AIR Podcast BOOK (!!) was published, so big thanks to everyone who showed up to the launch party and all the pals near and far who bought a copy. For the 16th episode, I travelled to Cologne to chat with German DJ and producer @cio-d-or about sound and silence. She has been a fixture in the techno scene since 2001 when she started a residency at Munich's Ultraschall — since then she has become renowned for her hypnotic sound and her journey-like DJ sets.

When we asked @marco_shuttle if he wanted to podcast an excerpt of his all night set from Public Records in February, he responded that he really wanted to publish the whole set start to finish. so here you have it, nearly 6 hours of Marco playing to the very intimate dancefloor at The Bunker Limited at Public Records in Brooklyn. This set is quite a bit different than what you might normally hear him play at a big techno club or festival, and we're thrilled to present this side of Marco's sound.
