This is one of my favorite B side Taylor Swift songs - I cried the first time I heard it, because it hit me so hard. 

I wanted to do this cover for my mom as a Mother's Day gift a couple years ago, but I struggled getting through my vocal takes because I kept getting so emotional! Eventually I was able to pull it together. :)

Set up was in my apartment with an acoustic karaoke back track and a microphone. Hope you like it. <3

In 2023, the Music Technology and Production area at OSU produced an album in response of a university-wide call for songs. We selected 9 diverse tracks from over 30 submissions to comprise the album, which was produced by OSU MTP students. Each selected songwriter was paired with student producers in the MTP area. The songwriters and producers worked closely to shape the final version of each song.

Lucanus is a delightful performer with vast creativity and potential to be recognized as one of the best songwriters in the area. He dreams of entertaining thousands in arenas with a big band orchestra playing his very original music. Pell currently performs for Kingston Health Sciences music therapy program and recently made several appearances acting in the Paramount series Mayor of Kingstown.

Tom used the '50s progression (also known as the "Heart and Soul" chords, the "Stand by Me" changes, the doo-wop progression) is a chord progression and turnaround used in Western popular music. The progression, represented in Roman numeral analysis is: I–vi–IV–V. For example, in C major: C–Am–F–G. As the name implies, it was common in the 1950s and early 1960s and is particularly associated with doo-wop. The first popular song to use the progression was Blue Moon, written in 1934. This inspired Heart and Soul in 1938 and Blueberry Hill in 1940.
