A familiar face across both Hottrax and Hot Creations, Italian DJ/producer Paul C steps back into the fold this summer with a sharp two-track release that taps into his roots while staying focused on the energy of modern dancefloors. Marking his third appearance on Hottrax and second solo EP for the label, ‘I’m Ready You Ready’ brings together rolling rhythms and classic influences with a modern, high-impact edge.

“I’m proud to return with a new release on Hottrax, part of the Jamie Jones universe I've had the pleasure of being involved with over the years. This EP features two tracks with a similar style but different vibes. The first track, ‘I’m Ready You Ready’, is a tribute to the '90s house sound that made me fall in love with clubbing, but with a more energetic and modern groove. The second, ‘In The Back’, also draws from that old school vibe, but explores a more club-oriented side of it. I'm really happy with the energy these two tracks carry, and I hope they’ll transmit the same feeling to you as they did to me in the studio.” - Paul C.

Known for his groove-heavy sound, Paul C’s studio work has appeared on a host of influential imprints, extending beyond his releases via Jones’ labels to imprints such as Elrow, Moon Harbour, and Knee Deep In Sound. With his tracks regularly in rotation for names like Marco Carola, Carl Cox, and Luciano, this latest EP sees him keep things moving in style as he delivers two distinct takes on the sounds that shaped his early journey, now reimagined for today’s clubs.

This young musician has been living and breathing music since childhood. Going from playing and studying violin, to self-teaching himself how to play drums. In the studio is where Aitor frees himself and is capable of creating hits that are going viral, with the support of internationally acclaimed artists as The Martinez Brothers, Michael Bibi, Marco Carola, Loco Dice, Jamie Jones, Wade, Paco Osuna, Pawsa, Cloonee or Dennis Cruz.

His tracks are a fusion of various musical influences, intense, dance floor-driven and energetic. His use of samples is his staple signature, as well as basses and glitches that give his sound personality. All this, topped with how he texturizes and gives life to his music, makes Aitor Astiz one of the young producers with most projection at all levels in the dance music scene.
