AJ Hope is a Chicagoland rapper born on November 24, 1985. He was born on the westside of Chicago at Cook County Hospital. When he turned twelve he became interested in rapping. It started out as fun during school to pass time with his childhood friend David Jr. Montgomery. David was pursuing his dream of becoming a rapper when he was brutally murdered in 2005. After he passed AJ decided to take music seriously in tribute to his friend. The name AJ Hope originates from his initials and honoring David. In 2008 AJ Hope was arrested and incarcerated for four and a half years away from his passion, music. Alvin was released from jail in 2013 and ever since has been in the studio working hard to release new music. His new mix tape is coming out spring 2013, Crook County : Ingredients the Street Been Missing.
