The Lost Vikings - Factory Beat

It wouldn't be a BVG music Christmas without a Mega Man 2 remix! I had actually started this one a couple of years ago, but it didn't quite meet my expectations until I spruced it up this year. It's a two for one featuring both Metal Man's Stage and the boss battle theme, because I wasn't quite sure if the latter would be lengthy enough to get its own standalone remix!

13: Final Boss Theme "What Is This?!"

Magma Monolith is another theme that was not composed for the original Nexus soundtrack. The original Magma Monolith theme was never settled on, and this is remake of a track I wrote in 2012 called "Magma." It is included in Nexus Genesis because it still fits the bill! Act 2 is faster and more syncopated, reminding you not to stay inside a volcano for too long!

0E: Magma Monolith, Act 2

Hey everyone! I got a really good response to the Super Mario Bros. 2 cover posted so I decided to do another song in a similar vein! This one is actually way more detailed though! To explain as shortly as possible, the original version of King Dedede's theme was in a different key and was only about half as long as every version from Super Star onward, which featured an entire second section before the loop. I've thought for a while about covering that original key version but then adding that second part, so that's exactly what I did! In addition, I added some DPCM and two extra channels with the MMC5 (along with loooots of effects) which I think overall really makes this sound pretty cool! Hope you enjoy and thanks for listening!
