I had the opportunity to represent the Chiptunes = WIN community during their month on Weekly Treats, and the result is my ode to caffeine-fueled productivity.  I had a ton of fun writing up this weird guy, and got to do a lot of experimenting with synth design and bassline writing.  All of the instruments are either FL Studio defaults or sampled from the NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis. Robotprins asked a bunch of his pals and chums if they wanted to do a track with him, and this is the result. "Friend Force"! 

This EP is the first of many to come, as Robotprins has many friends around the globe. On this EP he made two tracks with Swedish chipmaster "Rymdkraft", one track with Argetinian Maestro "Toni Leys", and one track with Japanese sensation "asIan+".

This song is meant to symbolize the final stretch of a big dangerous adventure, parting ways with old friends along the way. 
If this was part of a video game, it would play on the last level before the final boss ;)

Made in Reaper using many many freeware plugins, no paid plugins used. Oh also a guitar, i guess. 

Emulating various classic chips (SID, 2A03, SPC700, YMF262), using samplerate reduction and bit reduction on some other instruments to get that nice cozy aliased Amiga feel. The tune was made with 8 note polyphony and certain size limitations in mind, including sampled chords, so that it can potentially be ported to my favorite soundchip, the SNES SPC700, without much loss. (Yes this seems crazy, but i can asure you this fits in 8 channels + 1 "channel" with stuff streamed to the echo buffer from ROM).
