Long-standing FUSE mainstay Rich NxT makes a long-awaited return to Hot Creations this October with the Vibewise EP. The three-tracker marks his debut solo release on the label, having featured as remixer on the imprint previously.
 
“Like a lot of artists, I naturally focused my time in the studio during our lockdowns, so I’m really happy to deliver this EP for Hot Creations now. Those in the know will know the reference to one of the excellent party venues in London, back when a lot of our journey’s started.”  - Rich NxT
 
The A-side sets off with Roll On and the title signifies the exact nature of the track. A chuggy, groove-paced creeper, borrowing a unique vocal hook from UK hip hop protagonist Einstein. Rich’s hallmark style leaves few prisoners in its wake, as swinging bass tones open into the techy sounds of Papermill. Gritty basslines meld into whirring synth pulses before the title track brings things to a close, with stripped-back percussion residing next to loopy kick-hat combos throughout.
 
As one of FUSE’s original residents, Rich NxT played a major part in the brand’s evolution, helping take it from a free afterparty to one of the most respected event brands and labels on the planet. Elsewhere, the DJ / producer draws on his strongly identifiable sound to run two vinyl imprints, NxT Records and What NxT.

PREMIERE: George Smeddles - Slow Down

Audiojack’s 90s Dreamin’ EP samples some throwbacks to their youth, when hip-hop featured prominently on the speakers. “We made 90s Dreamin’ as a secret weapon for the end of our own DJ sets, and after a year of airplay and tracklist requests, it’s time to release it. No Biggie is another familiar throwback we made to get the dancefloor moving earlier in a set.” 

The EP is out now on Gruuv, with support from DJs including Marco Carola, Hector Couto, Riva Starr, Jamie Jones, Huxley, Lo Steppa, and Hannah Wants.

Having previously impressed on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax imprint, the pair unite for a two-track offering of punchy dancefloor ammunition on Jones’ party-series turned label.

Recently collaborating on their successful single ‘Lovin On Me’ via CUFF, earning support from Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1, Goosey and Jamie G aren’t holding back with their groove-powered sound. Riding a wave of impressive releases, the duo have captivated fans with joint and solo projects on respected labels like SOSA’s COCO, Detlef’s Issues, and Classmatic’s Organic Pieces, earning love from Michael Bibi, Marco Carola, The Martinez Brothers and more. Now, hitting up Jamie Jones’ Paradise Music for the first time, the pair pack a punch with their two-track party-flavoured EP, ‘Way U Move’.

“We've been hitting Paradise together every year since 2018, and it was on the dance floor at DC10 where we both knew this was what we wanted to do. When the Paradise label was announced last year, we discussed the idea of working on an EP together. Fast forward to July - we played together for CUFF in Manchester, then spent the week after in the studio creating the two tracks, and a few days later, Jamie played them both at Amnesia. We couldn’t be more excited to sign to one of Jamie's labels again as he’s been an inspiration of ours since the beginning.” - Goosey & Jamie G

With layered percussion and laid-back chords, ‘Way U Move’ floats over snappy rhythms and glimmering highs, crafting a flawless arrangement that calls for a crowd. To follow, ‘The Streets’ unleashes a funky, confident groove, charging the space with dynamic vocal cuts, vibrant stabs and a smooth bassline that drives the production forward.

Ben Rau’s impeccable META label opens up its 2020 account with a super two-track release from Rossi. Fast establishing himself as a DJ and producer on the ascendency, and with the support of tastemaker DJs such as Jamie Jones, Enzo Siragusa, and Apollonia, Rossi’s productions have been bending ears and moving feet for some time now, and his debut for META does not disappoint.

Title track, ‘Nova’, pairs low slung bass and a hypnotizing groove with dreamy synth refrains and chopped vocals, for a classy and sophisticated deep cut, whilst ‘Solao’ cuts its cloth with funky bass slaps and swinging beats, keeping the mood bouncy and breezy.

With prior releases for HEDZUP Records, PIV and NO ART, as well as continually touring the world, from SASH in Australia to the undergrounds of Colombia and all over Europe, 2020 looks set to be another busy year for Rossi. and his debut for META kick-starts the new decade as he intends to go on!
