“Departure” flows along slowly yet surely, much like the Potomac river in Washington, D.C, where Imagined Herbal Flows hails from. Shuffled hip-hop beats with ambient vocal resampling and synths, all tied in with steady house rhythm and percussion. Everything from lutes to Chinese erhus are sampled, truly making us feel everywhere at once.
