As a daughter of a Swiss mother and a Ghanaian father, Ajele was born and raised in Switzerland, where, at the age of eighteen, she got introduced to the electronic music scene. Soon she realized there were hardly any female DJs. 
Now that was something she strived to change ! 

The decision was made and the first records, decks and a mixer were bought. Vinyl shopping became an addiction and playing them a passion.

Since 1996 she's an inherent part of Zurich's electronic music scene and her versatile and solid music style has given her many opportunities to open the night.

Last year in august, at the other end of Germany, I had the pleasure of meeting someone I had heard a lot about. I fondly remember how he rolled down the car window, and I hopped in, kicking off our journey together. 🙋🏽‍♀️ Hello, Thomas stieler!

As a resident at Leipzig's Distillery, part of Muna, one of the longest-standing clubs in Germany, and a member of the Paracou Crew associated with Mathias Kaden, he embraces every genre within the realm of house music. His passion and dedication shine through in every groove, making him a beloved figure in the dance music community. 🪩🪩🪩

Meeting someone as grounded and true to himself as Thomas gave me a completely new perspective regarding the scene. I'm very thankful that our paths crossed. Please welcome this down-to-earth DJ, cat lover and my virgo brother, Thomas Stieler!

This set I've mainly played for myself, although there were people... I can not explain well enough the feeling of freedom I experienced that night... Each day and night are different, the people, the mood, the emotions... This was planed to be an emotional freedom ride but life is not always happening the way it is planed. So the result of this session is an "emotional ride". Openness is the key and accepting the situation as it is, seeing the good in it, seeing the opportunity to learn and grow... The night of 14.12.2024 was an emotional ride and so was the whole year. I am thankful for each lesson I've learned and there were many! Thankful for every night I was invited to my beloved Kasheme to express my emotions with music. Thankful for the people I've met and who understand what story I am trying to tell... And yes the cover picture is on purpose because seeing life from another perspecitve sometimes can help ;-) wishing you a happy ending of 2024 and a good start into a transformative new year! Let's do this!

For this 3rd episode, I invited someone that I only met one time before at a festival – amnati. Ever since that time we followed each other on the socials, but there was no communication until I discovered that my guest is also into ambient music. Long story short: Dive into this beautiful breakfast date situation with us & wrap yourself into multiple layers of calming cinematic & soulful tracks. Listen to the actual sunlight that graced us in the studio.

The sunrise serenades I am hosting are driven by the idea of curating mixtapes that express a deep gratitude for musical compositions that hit a soft spot & open up the possibility of being intimate with oneself through writing. This show experiments with sonic & poetic revelations. Inspired & guided by the tracklist, it will tell a different story each time. Far from being held back by the closure of clubs and borders, Barış K had a particularly profiling year in 2020.
