"I was so blessed to come from such a musically diverse family. My late grandfather was a DJ at a radio station back in Guyana in the late 60s to 70s. On air, my papa would play jazz, bossa nova and soul to name a few. This translated when he moved to Canada and brought all of his records and record player. I grew up with my grandparents watching them play all their records in the basement."

"I credit my mom for the majority of my music taste. I have avid memory of my mom and I's car rides in which she either had her CDs or iPod plugged in, putting me on to old school hip hop, rnb, and soul. She never forced me to like the genres she did but I always felt connected to them. When it came time for me to start developing and curating my own taste, I would explore deeper into the genres that I was exposed to."
