This is the Opening of 'Hai in den Mai Festival 2025' at Waldfrieden in Germany. 
Enjoy this 4,5 hour joyride from 75 to 130bpm :)
Starting off with the traditional 1st hour 'Chill-In', i gave it my own twist and quickly moved from Ambient to Downbeat, still keeping it low, but spiced with a pinch of funk to get the floor movin' and groovin'. From there things got  crazy quickly and with a good portion of humour and a big grin on my face, the Tribal Afro House madness got the party started and provided a flying start into the second hour... when my set officially started ;)

More than two years ago, a spark of curiosity pulled me into the world of DJin a journey that began behind a friend’s controller and soon became a calling. What started as playfulness quickly transformed into a deep connection with music, a language through which I could communicate with the universe and share love on the dancefloor.

Since then, my path has taken me deeper into the realms of electronic music. I have dedicated myself to professional exploration, shaping my sound within Psytech, Dark Psy Prog, and psychedelic-inspired styles. Behind the decks, I strive to create not just a set, but a sonic journey a space where rhythms dissolve boundaries and energy flows freely.

Recently, I have expanded my journey into music production, pouring my visions into original tracks. Soon, my own releases will emerge—expressions of the same force that first ignited my passion: the magic of sound as a channel of love, unity, and transformation.

For me, music is not only about beats and drops it is about guiding souls through a shared experience, a reminder that we are all connected in vibration and spirit.

DJ since 1994, I take you on sound journeys through Downtempo, Afro, Organic, Techno, Hardtechno and Psytrance. Every sundays a set to explore other dimensions.

I am Yann — DJ and sound traveler since 1994.
Through my two artistic identities, Ajnayan and Sayko Yan, I embody two distinct yet complementary journeys:

Ajnayan explores the deep, mystical and conscious side of music — Downtempo, Organic, Afro Techno, Melodic Techno, Slow Tech, Ancestral and Ambient — soundscapes that invite to connect, expand and travel within.

Sayko Yan carries the raw and powerful energy — Hard Techno, Psytrance and harder edges of electronic music — where intensity, driving beats and transcendence ignite the dancefloor.


Born in Geneva, I spent my childhood there until 14, then one year in California before living 27 years in Antibes, South of France. Today I am based in Bern, Switzerland. My DJ path began in 1994 with Prophets’ Tribe, and soon I was sharing stages with pioneers such as Daft Punk, Dave Clark, Adam Beyer, Colin Dale, Manu le Malin, Talamasca and many more.

In 1998 I started organizing my own events, and in 2004 I founded Any Gmatik, creating the biggest psytrance event in South-East France. My journey then led me worldwide, from festivals like Full Moon (Berlin) to tours across Asia and the South Pacific.

After a pause to dedicate myself to other projects and to fully embrace fatherhood, I returned in 2019 to my origins, channelling both depth and power in my sets.

Today, I unify both faces of my musical self — the conscious explorer (Ajnayan) and the raw energy driver (Sayko Yan) — offering sound journeys that range from the profound and meditative to the wild and ecstatic.

And every Sunday, I release a new set, opening doors to other dimensions.
