Quite often we write introductions for premieres featuring extravagant wordplays and tales incorporating they title of the track. However, given the circumstances this one makes a pretty good story in itself. Aptly named, 'A One Way Ticket, Five Hundred Dollars & A Suit', this one could mean anything anyone. Bring on the long track names.

Having released three EPs previously, the Swedish duo have gone all out with their latest release. The Disko Dubb of 'Double Dance Lover' was put on SoundCloud last week and the 15-minute epic is a voyage through big synths, huge riffs and a whole lotta love.

We've got the premiere of the original mix and we're thrilled to be able to present the track that we've been after for so long. If this song doesn't fill you with warmth in the winter months then we're not sure what will. The sample, those breakdowns, that percussion; Top marks all round.

@1codycurrie is releasing a five track EP entitled "Beer Machine". All five joints are dance floor stompers, littered with samples both familiar and not, but meticulously melded into cohesive pieces where not a single sound is out of place. Today, we have the pleasure of premiering the A2: "Heineken 04". A sampled drum loop with jazzy cymbal crashes and rides introduces the groove with Currie's own percussive choices sitting over top. Some slightly dissonant jazzy chords ascend into the fray and vocal chops are scattered throughout while a familiar albeit warbled voice takes a bit more of a central role. The low bass guitar here is the cherry on top of an already merciless groove, sure to send many a dancer into overdrive (just don't spill your beer on the dancefloor).

Cody Currie's approach is not an unfamiliar one but he is able to set himself apart from the masses with his smooth technique. The young producer's dusty sampled house sound is akin to the likes of Fouk and Brame & Hamo, high praise for someone just getting their feet wet and he is definitely one to watch. @betterlistenrecords is also doing everything right with their three stellar EPs thus far, not skimping out on anything including the artwork (which we absolutely love, by the way!).

PREMIERE : Ponty Mython - Morning In A Boeing 747 [FINA Records]

Fast rising London-based producer Danvers (@ddanvers) slides through Boogie Café Records (@boogie-cafe-records) with a stack of smooth house cuts on his 'Desire' EP, which comes complete with a remix by Harry Wolfman who flips the title track into a shimmering soulful ballad.

On the B, Hauke drags us far out into an enchanting chord progression, as the seductive 4G demonstrates filigree elegance to an almost fragile degree - bewitching we say.

It’s time for some Dirt Crew action. This time the Berlin label showcase French artist S3A who is no stranger to Bolting Bits or to the world of electronic music production. With experience comes expertise, S3A has been producing for over 15 years and has released on the likes of Quartet Series, Lazare Hoche records, Concrete Music and Local Talk. He cut his teeth with a residence at Rex Club, Paris’s oldest and longest running club, before jumping ship to a regular slot at the three tier riverside club Concrete.

Today we have the pleasure of premiering the third track from the release titled Greed. The eleven track special is due out very soon in all good record stores. Greed is a smooth soulful number, coloured with vibey keys, loose but snappy drum breaks, shuffling hi-hats and to top it off some funk bass. It is very easy to get lost when making sample based music. You can choose a sample from any piece of audio that has ever been recorded and printed to wax or made available online. Samples can be taken from any era and from whichever corner of the plant you desire. The key aspect of sample based music is maintaining a unique sound. This is a key driver in S3As music and you can hear individuality all of this record.

It’s always special to be part of a record label’s birth, so we’re stoked to welcome London label Dance Regular to our catalogue of premieres with the B1 – For You Around Me by Trev – from their first record. 
James Rudie and EVM128 have started the label, which they say will orbit around styles like House, Bruk, Soul, Jazz, Boogie, Half Time, Jungle, Ragga, and more. Multiple records are already set for release in 2019, but the first, which includes our premiere track, will be up for grabs from 7th June. 

Body Music Vol 1 is its name – a six-track, various artist EP. From the dark wobbly bass of the opening track by Xtra Brux, to the light and playful melodies on the B2 by Szajna, the musical diversity here is striking. 

For You Around Me is an intelligent, jazz-house fusion whose intensity undulates in parallel with ethereal strings. It features a 50/50 mix of 4x4 and more breakbeat, syncopated drums. Layered keys, including a quintessential jazz sound in a Rhodes keyboard, lull us into the onset of strings and drums, each escalating until the bass kicks in shortly after the minute-mark and the track takes off. 

Overall, it’s six-minutes of intriguing rhythms soaked, in a measured way, with melodies that move back and forth between flowing moodiness in House form and lighter, more glitchy jazz.

We don't know what's going on this year, but there seems to be an increase in the number of label bosses releasing their first LPs on their record labels. Having covered German producer Kapote's debut on Toy Tonics last week, his fellow countrymen M.ono is now gearing up for his own. For those who do not know, M.ono runs the label Rose Records out of Leipzig alongside his partner Luvless. Having spent the past decade putting out music that has earned the support of big names like Move-D, Moomin, Wolf Music, and DJ Koze, M.ono has decided to put together an anthology if you will - a collection of twelve tunes he's produced since 2008 titled "Spritti Moments."

One of the tunes from the release that we're sharing with you today is called "Bye Bye Butterfly." Fans of M.ono's recent work will be pleasantly surprised by this original since it doesn't necessarily resemble the disco or funk that he's come out with the past few years. Instead, this song is quite somber in mood and features a collection of breakbeats and looped samples that give off more of a future garage vibe than the house music he's generally known for. This variety in sound speaks to the many genres that inspired M.ono in his early musical career, and this LP illustrates that journey step by step.

This is ostensibly a post in promotion of a hot new release. The record in question is from Berlin-via-Australia house veteran Jad & The (formerly of the problematic moniker Jad & The Ladyboy). It comes via reliable London wax purveyor SlothBoogie, and is, from top-to-bottom, a well-crafted collection of moody deep house fit for early summer sessions on the Spree. 

But the track in question here, in particular, is the release’s A2 remix, courtesy of Istanbul’s Aleksandir. And if you don’t remember that name, now would be a good time to take note.

Operating within the somewhat niche, online-oriented sector of club music that we follow, Aleksandir has been releasing music for a few years, but really hit new heights in 2018 on the strength of his track “Yamaha”. Simply put: the thing was a straightaway hit. The Youtube page accrued 4 million hits, and, like Pepe Braddock’s “Deep Burnt” before it, the video is now integrated into your “Up Next” stream pretty much any time you click on any video related to modern dance music. 

That success has landed Aleksandir plays on BBC, and accrued him an online following that includes over 60,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. 

Because you are probably friends with him on Facebook and have possibly talked with him a bit, you might be inclined to seeing his success as quaint or as just the well-deserved applause that can accompany a well-timed release (a fluke, really, you might tell yourself). 

True, there is certainly a measure of fortune involved with achieving status in an industry as online-oriented as this one; in an industry where algorithms and playlist supervisors can lucrative booking schedules; in an industry where trends happen in a nanosecond, whereafter they are summarily critiqued, admonished, and meme’d. 

But we should make no mistake: out of all the young producers cranking away on their laptops at 3am every night, from Tbilsi to Tokyo and back, Aleksandir might in time rise above the lot of them. He might just achieve a rare and indelible status in the world of so-called underground music: that of being remembered.

Omena travels south of the Mediterranean Sea with antique maps and compass in hand for the release of Parviz's Zerzura EP. This record features four songs of romance and reverie, taking you through a dizzying jazz journey, full of twists and turns; starting with emboldened trumpets, only to end on a handful of quaint piano notes. As dusk settles upon the dunes, the mirage has now vanished, and the forlorn hope turns into a soul-searching journey.

To capture the atmosphere of the piece, Parviz has partnered with artist Rickard Eklund to put together the cover art for the release. Much like Parvis himself, Mr. Eklund was inspired a great deal by the mysticism of the region, which he goes onto explain in our exclusive interview where both delve into the influences behind their collaboration.

As you read through their discussion that touches on everything from Percey Shelley's Ozymandias to the music of Lounge Lizards, Yuseef Lateef and Duke Ellington, make sure to listen to Parivz's forthcoming track taken from the EP titled "Odalisque Au Fauteuil Noir." It will certainly set the mood and get you into the mindset of partaking in a little discovery and introspection yourself.

A 20+ year veteran of Chicago’s thriving house scene, Vick Lavender needs no introduction. His music has been heard by many and played on dancefloors across the world, either under his real name or one of his other aliases. One of the most notable perhaps is a group he’s a part of that you may have heard of called Strictly Jaz Unit. Releasing on a number of labels throughout the years, perhaps most notably on his own Sophisticado Recordings, he’s a master of deep, soulful and emotional house music. Today we are extremely excited to present Vick’s newest release forthcoming on ANMA Records entitled The Nature EP. 

Our premiere today is the A1 “Negro Es Hermano”. It’s a 14 minute long, hypnotizing piece that fuses jazz, funk, soul and of course house music. Organs, rhythm guitars and keys are more present in the first half of the track. It continually evolves though and we see the second half explode into a more modern jazzy medley of synth work with bigger pads, strings and muted, filtered moogy lines. We won’t dive much deeper than that and let you explore this journey all on your own.
